Some Christians believe that without Judas, the betrayer, the crucifixion, thus the salvation, never would have occurred. Yet had Original Sin never occurred, a fault in human nature, there would be a perfect world in the Garden of Eden. Mankind has damned themselves and only by the holy and willing sacrifice that Jesus made are we able to hope to attain Heaven. Dawe says in lines 6-7, over the big men who must have had it in for him / and the curious ones who’ll watch anything if it’s free, by using the blue collar term ‘big men’ Dawe is trying to make it relatable to modern society. The ‘big men’ in the poem relate to the Jewish rabbi’s and men in power that wanted Jesus dead, but it
This clearly states that the sins of one’s society affects every member of the society even though it may affect them in different ways. The American culture is seemed to be either naturalists or supernaturalistic about our worldview opinions of God. Naturalist individuals believe that there is no such thing as God; they believe that science should take full credit for everything that has happened in the world and for our beautiful universe. They believe the man is the creator of all things good and bad in our world. They also believe that there is no force greater than man and the man is the creator of the world.
Many thought once again if God let this happen, and let it happen for everyone to see he must not exist. Many felt as though God would not allow such harsh and painful doings to someone so young and innocent, and he would not let it be so everyone could see. Many people’s faith was lessened because of the harsh conditions of the environment. The Jews were forced out of their homes and did not knowing where they were going. This challenged the faith because faith is about not knowing but trusting in God that you will be safe.
It is founded in God, Who did not only create the Ten Commandments, but He is the standard and the law. God allowed sin to come into the world. He did not create it, yet He created the possibility of it. God cannot sin nor even be tempted by sin. He is so holy, just, and full of grace that He had to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for these sins and humans’ depraved condition.
There is no need to be scared to go to heaven because heaven is a better and more peaceful place. I believe in this essay Jonathan Edwards tries to scare you to be afraid of the lord and it actually causes the feeling of the peaceful and loving god you believe in into someone to be scared of. If you believe in Christ you shouldn’t be afraid and later throughout my essay you will find out why. Everyone will be held through the same punishment in the time the lord shall come but it wouldn’t be anything dramatic. If you believe in him and read the bible correctly god
There is a relatively strong connection to God in this book and many people during this time period believed in God. I bring this up because it was believed that God is the supreme creator of all things including the human race. It would therefore be horrendously inconceivable to challenge God and attempt to do something that would show that a mortal can have power equal to that of God. Next, regardless of how an individual comes into being it the duty of the creator to be there to nurture and care for the creature they have brought into the world. The world is a cruel place, even to those who are normal, but to someone who is different, as we see in the book, there
It assisted in laying the foundation of religious reform, thereby initiated the coming of the Renaissance. At that time, people considered that the God created and dominated the whole world, so that they kept the strong faith in the religions. Nevertheless, in fact, the death never reduced even though they prayed devoutly, and the plague was not got controlled as well. Furthermore, the government and the church were thrown into a panic, and many of them fled for surviving, leaving the masses in the pains. Thus, people started to feel disappointed to the ruling class and distrustful of the God, which triggered off the consideration about their own destiny and formed the ideological basic for the renaissance
However, although god can foresee all that is, was and will be, he still gave the angels freedom of choice. This freedom was not given as a reason to rebel or to create corrupt thoughts. It was to show how God love them that he did not want them worship him like robots. Their love and adoration for God was to be a willing love not a commanded one. These angels were supposed to be ministers to oversee Gods kingdom
I have concluded from my own life experiences that God is not responsible for evil. I strongly believe in Jehovah the all mighty! I reference the holy bible in Genesis. Evil is in the world not because God created it, but because we are created with free will. Mankind was led astray by Satan who is ultimately the cause for evil.
A benefit for my position would be that you don't have to do something just because some deity or someone says its right. You do something because you know its right. Also, you are not restricted in what you do by something. You can live your life how you want to. But a drawback would be that you wouldn't be living for goodness or for a deity, you would be living for yourself and this could seem selfish to some.
