Texting is ruining social skills, which are important to building personal relationships, because there is no body language to show any emotion. This is because excessive texting is ruining people’s ability to communicate effectively. Some people are afraid of real intimate conversations and hide their true feelings behind a cell phone or computer. Texting via cell phones or chatting via a computer does not show a person’s emotions since one cannot determine whether the other one is happy or sad. Through text messaging via cell phones and social networks, people can become more individualized, distant, afraid, and indifferent.
Cell phone batteries need to be kept charged up. If you forget to charge your cell phone battery and it runs down, your phone will operate poorly because the signal will be weak. You may not be able to make or receive calls. On the other hand, landline phones don't have this problem. Landlines aren't safe to use during lightning storms.
In this first paragraph the pros of having a data on fixed lines will be discussed. The most important pro to having a fixed line is that if there is a power outage the line would still be operational. This is very important in the case of an emergency. With a cellular phone if the battery dies you will have no way of reaching out for the help that might be needed. Consumer reports still recommends having fixed line service, because emergency services can more reliably locate you quickly from a 911 call on a landline than from a cell phone.
The context of the text is also more appealing to me: talking about the positive and good things about social media rather than scaremongering and causing dread in just the simple use of them. I also prefer the basic white background with black text rather than the colourful background because it’s a bit distracting and it doesn’t add anything to the text itself. Also the text in the leaflet seems to be comprised mainly of facts and statistics which do not appeal to me nor do they sway my current opinion of social networking as a whole. The leaflet being in leaflet form however is the biggest reason that it doesn’t appeal me. If it were in a form of a website it could perhaps be more enticing and more appealing to me, but alas it is not.
It’s not the same thing to say something important through a text message then in person. Some things should be said face to face and not in a message. Communication between loved ones should be expressed as sincerely as possible and a text does not make it sincere. People should find a new and better way to talk to their loved ones if face to face is hard for them to do
Secondly, Ingram argues that hearing other people talking on mobile phones is very annoying due to “it breaks the basic communication model”. There is not clear limit between “work at work and work at home”. Finally, Ingram claims that because of the speed of communication requirement in today’s world, young people have dificulty to keep concentrate.
Finally, she believes that youth now cannot focus on things like shakespeare for a long time because of mobile phones. Overall, this article very strongly shows negative effects of mobile phones. However, there are some sphincteral weak spots. He has overlook at answering mobile phone while having a conversation is impolite and it interrupts the conversation. He is so negative about this.
the attractiveness or credibility of the source, rather than the message itself. Fiske and Taylor support this idea by saying we are ‘cognitive misers’ and will always look for the easiest route when making decisions, and this often means evaluating peripheral information rather than taking the time to evaluate the validity of the message. Attitude changes brought about through this route tend to be less personally important and less permanent. Mobile phone companies could use this information to market a new mobile phone dependent on the audience they are trying to appeal to. Adverts which encourage the central route should provide detailed information about the specific features of the phone.

Who new I could be so addicted to a cell phone. Now that I think about it a cell phone is a luxury not a necessity. Necessities are food, clothes, water etc. you can not live without them, you need them to survive. Cell phones, makeup, polish are a luxury, you want them you do not need them.
