I’ll never forget my first trip. I was introduced to this tradition along with the sport of running my seventh grade year at Blue Ridge Middle School. After only my first day of cross country practice, my coach, also current English teacher at the time, invited me to join him along with twelve other high school and college students to my first of many trips down to Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run. Being just a seventh grader, I was instantly filled with excitement at the opportunity of going on a road trip with an
Most people barbeque chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers, ribs, and much more, but everyone has king cakes which are only in Louisiana. The smell of the people barbequing is marvelous. Everyone has an abundance of food; therefore no one goes hungry and maybe have enough for leftovers the next day. After everything is over; the floats and eating, people pack their chairs, towels, bags of beads, barbeque pits and head on home after an exhaustive day. When they get home they take the beads out the bags and keep the ones they like and throw the rest in the bag, and the little kids look through the bags to find toys that they can play with.
The Mysterious Case of Natalee Holloway Natalee Ann Holloway was born on October 21, 1986. Natalee lived in Clinton, Mississippi, and graduated from Mountain Brooke High school on May 24, 2005. Natalee went to Aruba for her senior trip, but when failing to appear for her flight, this caused a media sensation in the United States, and how and where this story is headed, no one knows for sure. Holloway and 124 other students went to Aruba for their senior trip; the trip also had seven chaperones and the chaperones would come in every day to see if everything was going fine and if there were no problems. However, Jodi Bearman (one of the chaperones) reported that “the chaperones were not supposed to keep up with their every move,” meaning that the chaperones could say things but it was up to the students to choose their own behavior, and what they did.

School was boring that day but luckily I had senior leave so I was able to get out two hours early and get lunch with a friend. Later I went back to school and we boarded the bus and it took us to the airport. Finally after a 4 hour layover we were on the plane headed for Florida. The next day we had a game and we had an interesting day.

The Orange Bowl by Thomas Bagley We had tickets to the Orange Bowl in Florida! Mom, Dad, sister Caroline, older brother Marshall, younger brother Nathan and I, were going to Miami to see Virginia Tech compete against Cincinnati. It was January 2009, and not only should we enjoy the game but it was also Nathans 10th birthday. As we climbed up to the top of Land Shark Stadium seats and sat down, I looked over the field with my jaw beginning to drop. The Virginia Tech Hokies ran onto the field.
