Keeping each week’s tasks and goals in mind probably improves my chances in being successful in life. Self-Assurance I rely on my drives to decide how to react appropriately to a situation, or an individual, or a crowd. Driven by my talents, I personally feel content too steady improvements I make as an individual throughout life. I have confidence in my talents and knowledge. Infrequently I trust myself enough to test my own endurance and swiftness.
Though, i know that with me being a full time employee and parent, college will be a little more complicated. I know that im on the road to sucess and that alone brings a great sence of sucess to my person, for which im very proud. I am very proud of being a role model to my children and family members. And every little action constitute to a bigger and better effect. As a youth, involving ourselves in community organizations that work to attain a better nation is important not just for ourselves but most especially for others. Through this, we will be a key in promoting the objectives of that organization. Furthermore, we should also immense ourselves to works that would make us one step closer to our goals. Each day, we have to think that our actions form part of the future that we wish to have.
September 21, 2011 Nothing But A Fantasy Oh, the joys of the grand and luxurious life. Some people are born into such a world while others work there entire lifetimes and never quite reach it. It is something we would all enjoy to experience but, we are all guilty of fantasying about such a carefree lifestyle. In the short story “The Necklace” translated by Edgar V. Roberts the character of Mathilde Loisel takes her fantasy of having such a luxurious lifestyle to another level. We can see through her thoughts the dangers of living your life in a fantasy constructed by your mind and thoughts.
I tend to have a positive attitude in my personal and work life. This has helped me work through difficult situations in both areas in my life. The text also mentions that an optimistic mind set is essential for a successful leader. 2. I’m naturally open to new experiences in all aspects of life therefore if a new procedure is asked to be followed at work I tend to look for the positive in every new experience.
Joining this Fraternity has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I know through this I have many so many life-long brothers that will always be there for me at all times. It has been quite an adjustment, but it was not hard to do at all. When Percy says “Such a man is far more advanced in the dialectic than the sight-seer who is trying to get off the beaten track-getting up at dawn and approaching the canyon through the Mesquite” (Percy Par. 11) it is a great example of a new person like myself walking into a public University for the first time.
Ed looks at Glen and Dot’s life as a vision of what her life should be like with Hi. They are Ed and Hi’s closest friends and role models, in a way. Glen and Dot have the marriage, home, powerful job, and, most importantly, the children. Even though Glen and Dot have reached Ed’s ideal version of the American dream, they are still greedy for more. Glen is powerful and uses this to try to benefit himself many times.
Healthy development of both my attitude and my approach will help me to achieve any measured amount of feelings of happiness or success. As I make choices today to insure personal or professional advancements or progress day to day, I am aware of the impact these decisions will have later in my adult life. I am mindful to give consideration to the choices I have. By my knowing the importance of making the correct choices now, I see how this will possibly lead to feelings of regret or despair during my late stage development, if I make poor choices today. In order to avoid this from happening in my future, I am careful to give proper thought to the choices I make today.
I come to realize that I will obviously encounter barriers but along come milestones. I made it a goal to obtain my goals and being adamant about them. In writing this goal paper I can clearly see the future with steps I can fall into, and gain much more than I expected.
