Even though she had made bad choices, and had been through tough situations. Mandy always seemed to have a positive attitude. She seemed to pend on a lot of situations that I feel make her a good mother. She always had her baby’s best interest in mind; which brought her to the place she really needed. In the end her and her baby got the help they were looking for, and were adopted into the family.
Even though we have become more independent, she still does her best to be the best mom she can be. She has always tried to find a balance between working and being a wife and mother, but found that she has always put that first in her life before a career. She is now still working to help put me and my sister through college and will still work to pay for our weddings. Then she will work for her grandchildren. I guess you can say her role in life is to be happy, live comfortably financially and do everything she can to make her family comfortable and happy.
Smith’s strengths are her loyalty, tenacity, and work ethics. She will still be anyone that she has placed in her circle and her family. She keeps going despite the hurdles and obstacles. Even though her husband had a lot of money and wanted her to just stay at home and raise the children, she insisted that she work and have her own money. She states that she doesn’t necessarily like working but she likes the fact that she works and can support herself and her children if needed.
He was able to help bring my mother back to her children. In the beginning it was rocky getting to trust him, but eventually I began to trust them both. Today, I have back my nurturing, loving, and God fearing mother. In conclusion, a memory of heartache and tragedy no longer has a hold on my life. Witnessing my mother going through her struggles and overcome her addiction crack to gain her life and family back has helped me to see there is a future.
She loved her unborn child, even if it was killing her. Humility: selflessness. She helped anyone who came to her medical clinic, even if they had no money. Chastity: knowledge or wisdom. She knew what was coming for her and her child and what she had to do.

Her ability to stand up to her father and forgive him the way she forgave her mother unquestionably shows her growth and development as a young woman.
Every Day Use On Alice Walker’s short story “Everyday use”, it clearly shows two different points of views. Mama values her heritage and embraces her life as it is, while Dee has always wanted something different. Dee has never been told no and sees her family and their belongings as a piece of history. Mama loves Dee and has never denied her from anything she ever wanted, even at the expense of Maggie; however, when Dee comes back for a visit everything changed. Mama finally stands up to Dee and realizes the beauty in Maggie.
Angelou created easy outlets for people in struggle. She gets guidance from the heart and her words lead people from pitfalls in life. Her words will forever be relevant; her life is to admired. Times do change but young women throughout the years have one thing in common, the desire to fulfill their dreams without carrying the burden of past hurts. Angelou is more than a voice for today’s young women; she is also an inspiration and a blessing to those who read her work.
Listening to my academic advisor is essential because it benefits her and I. When she listened to the strengths and weaknesses that I have, it helps her to better find a way to help me. When I listen to her I get what I need to better improve myself in my studies. While listening to my daughter I get a better understanding of her as a person. This builds our relationship in tremendous ways because I can relate to her better and I know how to comfort her.

She has shaped my life in many ways; she taught me to be nice to everyone, appreciate what you have and never be selfish because you won’t always be here in this world. She also taught me to work hard in school and in the outside world, and to no matter what to never give up. She didn’t necessarily teach me how to do these things or sit down and have a talk with me about never giving up it’s just something I picked up from the long life she lived.
