I finally had self- confidence and the drive to make the most of my career as I neared completion of Banker’s College. Finally completing bankers college only started a drive for personal interest in a full fledged college degree and a chance at a new dream that I one day would like to complete, my own day care. I returned to an online college in a degree program for Early Childhood so I could prove to my family that I could graduate with honors and receive a diploma and I did with an Associate’s Degree the proudest moment of my life. I now have the chance to do many things with my college degree as well as returning to college and adding to it to
Michael Jordan English Comp 1 23 October 13 Compare and Contrast: College living and Home living College is an experience that we anticipate our whole lives. We hear stories about how great it will be, how we'll find many great and diverse friends, and how it will be the best times of our lives. What we don't think about is the transition from home living to living at school. There will be many changes some good, some bad. In some ways, things will remain the same.
set Jonathan Davis Professor C. Taber CSS 125-02 November 28, 2011 Mindset of a Student Starting college for some people is straightforward. They have an idea in their heads of what to expect and how to handle it and succeed. The thought of failure does not scare this group of people because they are ready in their minds to meet the challenge. This group of people has what we call a growth mindset. Others go to college with a fork in the road outlook on college.
Emily McLoughlin Journal Entry #1 Today in Education 300 I met three new girls that I probably would have never met if I did not take this class. We introduced ourselves to each other and immediately started some small talk. Next we made nametags and filled in a seating chart. Looking around the classroom I immediately became excited for what the semester has in store for me. Little did I know that the next activity would allow us to get to know each other even more.

From thinking about what “thinking” is during the early days of class, to actually taking a journey to visit your house and Detroit, this learning experience has been the first of its kind. No matter what destination students have landed at by the end of class, the amount of knowledge gained through this journey will be one to remember. To have a professor that opens your eyes to many different cultural views and causes such an abstract way of thinking is something that is not found often. Students have taken advantage the ease of current professors’ teaching methods, and in doing so, have forgotten how to truly think! You have broadened our minds by reengineering our creative thought processes and allowing us to look at ourselves and the world in a very different light; and for this, we say thank
Camp collage essay Honestly, the reason why I want to go to college is to leave with the feeling that I have learned and grown, even though I’m not done growing yet. To be able to feel myself walking out of college with a degree and knowledge to take me places. As well as learning the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life. To prepare myself for the real world that is yet to come. I find that collage will open up my horizons to a whole new level.
Eric Litterman Greg Winterhalter Capstone Paper Beginning my college education at SVC was not a difficult choice, but going off to college no where I had chosen was also a bit scary. The courses at SVC and the instructors made the transition from high school to college very easy for me. The Quest for Success class was at first a bit foreign to me as I had not taken a course like this ever before. But after the discussions began to take place and learning the history of our college soon became interesting to learn. The social interactions and cultural events showed me parts of our area I may not have known existed.
This was the year we actually went into real classrooms in the high school. No separate lunches or classes, we took classes with all upperclassman. It was completely different than the way things were in any other grade. I actually had fun teachers and classes. Yet, when things got tough I went back to my old ways.
