Such as the dunk from the free throw line that so many people try to attempt, but no one could do it like Michael Jordan. He brought personality to the game of basketball and no one would’ve been better to bring that than Michael Jordan. He was just simply a great all around player he could shoot, dunk, pass, and block. Any team that had Michael would definitely improve and only become better in time. No one else could lead one team to six championships in one decade, and would have come out of retirement twice to come back to the game of basketball.
*Strengths of the essay: Welcome, Tyson! I’m Karen M. and I am happy to assist you with your essay about convincing readers to try basketball. I like how you started your essay with sharing a few of your experiences in the sport, like in this sentence: Since then I’ve played many tournaments where I played international teams like Prague, Spain, Serbia and many other European teams. The concept was a game easier than other racquet sports (badminton, tennis, and paddleball) to keep the kids entertained. Although it was created for their kids, the adults quickly took over the game. The name “pickle ball” came from the families’ dog, “Pickles” that chased after the errant balls. You can set up a pickleball court just about anywhere. Most high schools, colleges, community centers, athletic clubs, parks and apartment complexes have either basketball, volleyball or badminton courts.
Writing Pride Jared Drendel College Composition Hanna Holts Warner Pacific College Writing Pride _Finding Forrester_ is an excellent film. It was both exciting and compelling. I can really relate to this kind of film because I enjoy writing, and (like everyone else) I feel out of place around certain crowds of people. Although people were ecstatic about his basketball abilities, Jamal’s true passion laid hidden in his journals.

The only reason I choose this poem as a topic for my first paper is that in my point of view, I have a lot of common points with Flick. I really loved this poem and I will try to explain to you why, in this paper. John Updike’s poem “Ex-basketball player” suggests that whatever the feelings are, happiness or sadness, both the man and the town he lives in, become dependants on each other for reaffirmation of the past. The poem is built around the character Flick Webb, who was a famous highschool basketball player. But now, he is confronted to the monotony of pumping gas in the small town where he was born.

His influence on the game has been so great, that today’s most talented and famous players have honed their skills after Jordan’s. Also, his achievements on the court helped him pave the way professional athletes’ market their overall careers off the court and develop additional income opportunities.

Tangible and Intangible Benefits Juwan Howard had everything laid out for him at an early age of 23 years old. At this age, he started negotiating as a free agent. Because he was only 23, his age gave him an intangible benefit to negotiate and he had yet to accomplish his true career in the NBA. According to Business Dictionary, intangible benefit is a “subjective benefit that cannot be measured in monetary terms”. Another intangible benefit of Juwan Howard’s benefit was that he was a leading producer for the Washington Bullets, his fans loved Juwan and he was trustworthy in his morals in and off the basketball court.
