In 1952 on Francine’s tenth birthday, her birth parents, Fred and Feonia came to see her. They told her all about how they could not handle her when she was younger, but they still love her and would be there for her anytime and that they was sorry for not coming to see her sooner. On Tuesday, September twenty-fifth, 1952, the day after her birthday, Marguerite, Francine, Fred, and Feonia all went out to eat then went shopping for the rest of the day. For the remainder of the week Fred, Feonia, Francine, and Marguerite went shopping, watched playes, and went to the park. Then over the weekend there was a terrible accident and Fred and Feonia died.
Natale 1 Brooke Natale Professor Thoreson English 101 10 October 2006 Unplugged In Marie Winn’s essay, “Television: The Plug-In Drug,” she states that television once was viewed as something that was positive and brought families together; it now has more negative effects. Winn puts it best when she talks about “early illustration…a family cozily sitting together before the television set, Sis on Mom’s lap, Buddy perched on the arm of Dad’s chair, Dad with his arm around Mom’s shoulder…twenty years or so later Mom would be watching a drama in the kitchen, the kids would be looking at cartoons in their room, while Dad would be taking in the ball game in the living room” (par. 5). There is no such thing as family television anymore.
As soon as Landen hears the beginning theme song, he stops what he's doing and finds the television. It just amazed me how excited one little child could get over a show. When it came time to plan his first birthday party, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I searched

Every December we’re treated to How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and each year young kids are introduced to classics like Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat, yet the wider public does not appear to know much about the man behind these famous works. To gear up for the release of the CGI-animated film Horton Hears A Who!, we aim to change that by presenting five things you didn’t know about Dr. Seuss, the most familiar and beloved pen name in children’s literature. 1- Dr. Seuss adopted his pseudonym by drinking gin Geisel’s

Maria Clesi ED 170 TV Paper The three shows that I watched were Sid the Science Kid: The Big Sneeze for my educational show, The Magic School Bus: Gets Ready, Set, Dough for my cartoon, and I watched Tinker Bell for my G rated movie. All of these shows I found on Netflix, which made everything a little easier. Sid the Science Kid is a very educational show to begin with. I chose the episode ‘The Big Sneeze’ because it’s the time of year that children are starting to get sick and this is an excellent lesson on why we should wash our hands. The show opens with Sid and his friends singing the theme song, then cuts to Sid in his bedroom introducing himself.
I was so excited because it was my first real job, and I had a friend from school that worked there also, her name’s Jessiee. Jessiee’s co-workers called her “hipster”, for good reason. She couldn’t have weighed over 100 pounds and dyed her hair an unhealthy amount of times a month. When she wasn’t working she had plugs in her ears and many piercings. I’ve went to school with her since we were in the seventh grade.
Watching cartoons were for kids and I was real close of being a woman. Some of my friends went to other middle school‘s, which means that I had to start over again finding new friends. The middle school I attended was Aspira Raul Arnaldo Martinez Charter School. The school was about 7-8 blocks away from home so I had to catch the bus throughout the whole year for me to get home safely to my parents. My favorite grade in middle school was the eighth grade.
And while I had my toys and my friends around I still had to be responsible about doing my homework and wake up every morning and wear my clothes to go to school. I learned to do everything by myself and. Finally after one year my dad decided that we can go to see my mom. At the first time, I did not feel anything when I saw her because I could not remember her as a mom. This really hurt me as
