Each class’ yearbook is a snapshot of history kept for generations to come. Personally, I enjoy browsing through my parents’ annuals from years past. I would be honored to be a member of the Marion High School yearbook staff because I wish to use my talents to help my school create this book of lifetime memories. One reason I think yearbook is suitable for me, out of all the other activities, is because I have a true love for photography. I could honestly spend hours taking photos and would enjoy every single second of it!
“Bridge Builders seeks to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who can lay aside individual and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.” This is the mission statement for Bridge Builders which is a program that I participated in my junior year of high school, and now actively involved with my senior year. The program, without a doubt, lives up to its mission statement. During the program we participated in leadership, personal, and team building activities. The program’s methods taught me how to be a great leader in any situation, whether I was leading myself or a group. I also made life-long friendships, and I am still meeting new people at our meetings that we have during the school year.
Lee came from a family of four children. Her father was a lawyer while her mother suffered from an illness. Her best friend was Truman Capote, whom would turn out to be an aspiring writer also and would both work together on a piece. Lee became interested in writing when she was in high school and when she graduated she attended the all-female Huntingdon College in Montgomery. She focused on her school work and was a member of the literary honor society and glee club.
I also took drawing my sophomore year and I got straight A’s in the class. My junior year I took photography because I was always obsessed with taking picture of everything. I was voted top photographer of my class of 30. Now at my senior year I am taking crafts and it kept me

But, her foster parents supported her as much as they could, and encouraged her to become involved in school academics and sports to keep her active and busy. The turning point for the family came one day when Nai was sent to her middle school’s principal’s office for wearing a sleeveless shirt. The principal called Nai’s foster mom to come to the school for a meeting. Nai recalls, “When my foster mom arrived at the principal’s office, she said, ‘My daughter hasn’t done anything wrong.’ She backed me up and supported me.” It was then that Nai realized that her foster mom would, “always be there for me and support
Finding My Voice Growing up, I was always told how important it was to write well and express your feelings, hopes, and dreams. I enjoyed writing in grade school, being creative, and making up stories. I remember one of my stories was about being a mega business woman, owning lots of boutique shops and having enough money to build a house for everyone in my family (mother, sisters, aunts and cousins), so we all could live close to one another. When I was younger; my father would let me go on some of the buying trips, and select things to sell in the boutique. This opened the door for a plethora of stories; not only did I write about the experiences I had, I was able to incorporate these experiences into my fantasy of being a mega business

I spent a whole year in a public school called Leuzinger. I spent my time building up my resume and grades so that once I tried again I would hands down have no problems. So mid-year my grades came out and I had received over a 3.6 GPA to make the Honor Roll. I would constantly see Serra in the newspaper winning championships. This had something i wanted and I knew that I could obtain it as long as I applied myself properly.
