My favourite place Everyone will have their own likes and dislikes. It is quite natural for people to get attached to some materialistic things which they term as their ‘favourite’. More than often we find ourselves discussing these kinds of interests, for example, favourite colour or favourite movie, favourite dish etc. What makes us call something as our favourite? Well the answer to that is simple. We tend to like things which make us happy and help us get a sense of relativity. One such common interest for every human being is ‘favourite place’ or ‘best hangout spot’. My hometown is Vizag, India. Like every other city, even my city has its own speciality. It has all the facilities and luxuries as that of a metropolitan city and yet holds the calm scenic beauty of a village. Located on the coastal line of Bay of Bengal, my hometown proudly stands to date as one of the most beautiful and peaceful cities in India. My family got settled in this city for more than 50 years now, tracing back our roots to my grandfather’s generation. The place where my home is located is a lively community full of naughty kids and friendly neighbours. As I mentioned earlier, the city is located on the coastal line of a sea and hence, is the home for many beaches. One of the many beaches allowed for tourists and public, ‘Palm Beach’ is situated very close to my residential area. I had to travel past this beach everyday inorder to reach my school. Sooner than I had expected I got so attached to the beach, that I visited this place almost daily. Palm Beach kind of became my second home. I would find myself at the beach everyday in the morning before 7 a.m and in the evening sometime after my school.
