My junior year, she helped me get over my stage fright by allowing me to sing a solo at "Winter Concert." Which was terrifying, but she helped me relax and I did well. I love to learn new things from her and she was driven by the joy of learning from us. Her determination to give her choirs the best has really shown me how much she likes to bond with her students. A lot of people take it easy, but she likes to push us and help us succeed at what we want and determine to get.
When her teachers would introduce a new song to the class, she would be handed the “untried music” to sing by note until the rest of her peers, following by ear, would learn it. (p.504) After leaving the Royal School, she was primarily tutored by private teachers. She said, “after leaving school…my musical education was continued from time to time as opportunity offered.” (Berger, 2012, p.504) Liliʻuokalani teachers have noted that she was very a studious girl who took her education and music training seriously. Her dedication to her music never ceased as she grew into her adult life and she never stopped educating herself musically. It is thought that she learned to play the piano at the Royal School; later in life she became an accomplished pianist.
Mariah was hitting every key perfectly and staying constant in tune. Some would say she had an angelic voice. Her best friend, Carey, was doing great but not better than Mariah. She had a little off key notes here and there. Fifteen minutes into their little practice, a small audience had gathered around them and began to cheer them on.After their practice-turned- performance, members of the audience came up to them to compliment them on what a great job they had done.
Colbie Caillat On Aug. 21, 2012 I had went to Colbie Collibet and Gavin Degraw concert at the antelope valley fairgrounds. It was my first time seeing these two artists and they did not disappoint me at all. I love going to shows where the co-headliners or main interact with not only the audience but with each other's performance. Colbie’s voice was sweet and sensual that it makes me want my hubby to be at the show with me! Her songs make me want to fall in love and to be loved all at the same time.
My cousin, Karen Lopez, and I would play a Christmas song on our violin at the end of the rosary. I believe that I would be a valuable member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society because I can maintain an overall average of 85 and higher. With all my classes accelerated, like math, social studies, science and English. I also love to help do fundraisers to help the school raise money for good cause. Also, to help the school be a better place and environment for my fellow peers.
As a child Fanny's mother took her to every show they could get at and started her love for performing at a very young age. Even though she was the third of four children and had a drunk as a father, her mother still made time for Fanny and cheered her, on her journey to her dream. After winning an amateur talent contest at age 13 singing "When you know you're not forgotten by the girl you can't forget" at Keeney's Theater in Brooklyn. She then quit school at the age of 14 to become a performer on the "low-down" burlesque circuits. She later changed her name to Fanny Brice and got her first professional job in the chorus of The Talk of the Town but ironicely she got fired during rehearsals by the big current star George M. Cohen.
Overcome with awe and envy I closely watched the greats from both teams warm-ups and do things with the ball that are extremely difficult; they made it look so easy and effortless. Time dwindled and game time was near. My sister and her school choir came out on the stage and began to sing the national anthem. For all my parents and I knew this is what they were really excited for. Yes I admit that it was a pleasure and I was very proud to watch my sister go out there and perform, but as bitter as it sounds, the only thoughts going on in my mind were all amazing plays I was going to the
Because I was a senior in the section, they trusted my years of experience to know all the fingerings to notes or to be able to read the rhythms. Once, a fellow band member asked me to listen to her while she played her region music and tell her how she sounded. Although she was in fact a much better player than I am, she trusted my experience and knowledge enough to let her know when her dynamics weren’t enough or if a section of the music or a note didn’t sound
I worked with some of the most loving kids and a truly inspiring missionary, who gave us a greater outlook of why were really there and how much we meant to her. Throughout the week I shadowed their classrooms, played outside with them, worked on their growth skills, made socks puppets for a puppet show we performed in Spanish, and painted an entire classroom. Despite these kids disabilities they always had a beaming smile on their face and had the kindest hearts. Although there was a language barrier we all still managed to create an unforgettable relationship with all of the kids. There was not a time during the week that I didn’t have a little girl playing with my hair or having one of the kids hugging me or wanting to take more pictures.
She changed my life in the fifth grade, she started to do plays with the class and that’s when I started thinking, I wanted to be an entertainer. I remember my principal came in and told us this was the best play that we’ve had at piers 45 and we were astonished and overwhelmed with joy, because there was costume changes and it was amazing. I guess I got the itch to perform every day, even off
