UNIT1-INDIVIDUAL PROJECT MY BEST DAY EVER Ahmed Neal A.I.U MY BEST DAY EVER Have you ever a day gone just right? I have in the summer of 97, and it was my best day ever. It started out like any other morning, with Baller my Pit-bull licking my hand. His way of letting me know it was time to get up and take him out. I sat on the edge of the bed motionless, as it always took me a minute to clear the cobwebs from my head. The shower was steaming hot which was unusual, the lady upstairs generally starts her laundry 5am like clockwork every Friday. There’s nothing like a nice hot shower to start the day. As Baller and I started out on our walk my phone rang, it was my boss. Informing me that it was going to be slow and giving me the option to take off. Reluctantly, I opted to take the day with pay, of course. It was a beautiful warm morning, the sunshine was beaming brilliantly and there was a nice warm breeze blowing that seemingly caressed and warmed your skin. With work no longer a factor of the day we continued along with extra time to spend at the dog park. Once we got there I could see that the dog park was occupied by a woman and her puppy, So we practiced some basic commands more or less as we wait. It wasn’t long before they left and Baller I was playing fetch with his favorite ball. Dirty and thirsty Baller and I began our slow walk home enjoying the tranquility of the morning. We stopped for a cold drink and scratch offs when we reached a store by the house. I stood at the counter and scratched one ticket as I’ve always done, this time felt different. Time seem to slow as I scratch the ticket. Once all was revealed I stood there, my mouth wide open chin on the counter. I had just won ten thousand dollars. In total disbelief, I walked to the counter and asked the clerk to check my ticket. She confirmed and handed it
