It was meant to represent the cage in which Brick had trapped himself in when he started drinking alcohol as a coping mechanism instead. The furniture and decor used in the bedroom greatly contributed to the mood of the play. All of the furniture and decor seemed to be tied together using a golden color scheme that created this image of luxury. Everything from the upholstery of the chairs to the doorknobs dripped with wealth and riches. The color scheme helped establish the play’s setting and give insight to the characters in the play.
You can always smell an essence from her room at the CQ desk downstairs. As you extend your legs one foot in front of the other, up the stairs onto the second floor and down the hallway, you will become nearer and nearer to room two nineteen Private Thrailkills dorm room. The smell of fresh clean linen seeps through the door and into the pathway you are walking.
The sun was up and shining into my bed room window. I got up, looked around, and observed the horizon with a disgruntled look on my face; admiring it's beauty. I did not know it that chilly morning, when I turned my Tv to watch my favorite show "Despierta America" (Wake Up America) in English. And an a second all my splendor went down, it changed my perception about fear, my awareness about the national issues, and my view on the preciousness
The play took place exclusively in Bernard’s apartment living room. The European style apartment was realistic, yet simple with limited distractions. The apartment had wooden floors, carpet, a window, a desk, a sofa, and multiple exits and entrances. Although the window was subtle, it added depth and context to the stage. When it was nighttime, the audience could see that it was dark outside and when it was daytime, the window was lit accordingly.
I spend as much time as I can in my room when I can because it is just so awesome. Aside from this fact there are many things that I do in my room or “site structure”. I sleep, have laundry, read, eat, do homework at my desk, get dressed, sit on my ottoman when I put my shoes on, drink water and other substances, exercise, get ready, and well live. My site structure reflects my activities because of where my furniture is based because my room was also initially architecturally designed for this purpose of where the furniture should be located. My desk is arranged next to the window across from my bed and across from my bed to the south of the room is my dresser.
"There were battered magazines and a few dirty books on the special self over his bunk. A pair of large gold-rimmed spectacles hung from a nail on the wall above his bed." (67). The setting in this part of the novel sheds light on the life of Crooks, it shows that he is a man of learning with the magazines and books in his room. "And scattered about the floor were a number of personal possessions; for, being alone, Crooks could leave his things about..." (66).
Within a few seconds, I was sitting up in bed, listening. All I could hear was the melodious chirp of a warm summer night. My window was open, and a light breeze playfully ruffled the thrown bed sheets. Why should I be fearful? Not a single soul was awake in the house.
The room was darkened, with the shadows of the candles falling upon the walls. Elizabeth is sitting on a rocking chair in front of the fireplace in the living room with the baby in her arms suckling softly at her breast. The front door creaks and Reverend hale enters carrying his weighty books in his hand. Hale: Goody Proctor, mind if I enter? I really do hope I am no hassle this evening.
There's something about St. Mary's that just brings me home. There's a white plain baby room before the actual service room. As I walk into the service room the vanilla scent from the two burning candles by the alter hit me. During the service I can hear babies in the background. Their giggles and cries carry into our large room.
I stared out of the sliding door, looking at the stars above. My palms were sticking to the sliding door; I was standing behind the Fella Design curtain. How I wish I am a star, twinkle brightly in the darkness of night, free from fear and worry. I suddenly realised it was 3 o’clock in the morning and I slowly went into my bedroom and disappeared into the world of dream. He came back with that kind of look that made my heart beating wildly.
