Music Therapy is different with the person listening to his/her favorite songs with headphones by cellphone or in internet, or a student playing music at sanatorium. Before the treatment, each patient has to evaluate. After that, music therapists provide treatment instructions, including creating, singing, doing active with music or listening to music. Music therapy training is a musical theory and music skills, psychology and related subjects, personal psychotherapy (Olofsson and Fossum, 2009, p.E223). Music therapy can benefit people who have diseases like: mild asthmatics, dementia, cancer and schizophrenia.
It was only recently that this idea of man’s connection to music was brought into the world of medicine. Music therapy is the technique of prescribing music to a patient, along with traditional medicine. The job as a music therapist can be challenging and many times difficult to handle, still, it brings many amazing opportunities. It is important that before one takes the first steps to become a music therapist, he or she knows what lies ahead. To succeed, a music therapy student must understand the history and science of music therapy, what the job of a music therapist is, and the obstacles one must overcome to before entering the field of music therapy.

Muscles and joints can be affected from various ways including, work, sports and exercise to name a few. At some point, pain is something that every one feels and is affected by. Most times a person will visit a doctor or a physician, not realizing a massage therapist can reduce pain and treat muscles in a medical way. As written in “The effect of massage on pain in cancer patients” pain level is reduced just after ten minutes of massage. (Weinrich,Weinrich) It seems that this could be called the “time of the pill”, as everything can be fixed by taking medicine.
Running Head: History of Art Therapy and Fine Arts History of Art Therapy and Fine Arts Lonna Shelton-Soward Liberty University Abstract In 1942, a British artist by the name of Adrian Hill introduced art therapy to the world of counseling. Hill unlocked the door to a new method of therapy for psychologically disturbed individuals to use with their therapist through a nonverbal form of communication. He used art therapy as his outlet to express his inner most thoughts and emotions in an unspoken manner while in the hospital recovering from tuberculosis. Hill brought to the forefront the various types of therapy used today with patients/clients. In the early 20th century mental health professionals took an interest in the artwork being created by psychologically sick patients.
