Daniel is a father who does the voices for some of the cartoons on TV. However, he is having a hard time keeping his job. This time he adds his own words because he doesn't believe in the message the cartoon is portraying. Daniel also has a wife named Miranda and three lovely children named Nathalie, Chris, Lidia. The wife, Miranda is an interior designer.

His marriage is on the edge. It is Chris's birthday but he isn't supposed to have a party because of his bad grades. His father invites some of his friends and a local petting zoo before the mother gets home. When Miranda comes home, she is not happy. There are farm animals everywhere and loud music. She calls the marriage quite on her son's birthday. All three kids sit on the stairs listening in tears to the whole conversation.

Daniel stays with his brother, until he can find an apartment. His brother is in a relationship with another man. Both men work on costumes and makeup. Daniel will be under observation until he can get his own place and get is suitable for children. He only gets to visit his children once a week until he is reevaluated. Their grandmother comes and lives with the family for a few days to take care of the children when Miranda is at work.

Daniel has gotten a new job boxing and shipping film in a studio. He also moves out of his brother's apartment and invites his children to come and eat with him. When Miranda picks up the kids, she informs Daniel that she is putting an ad in the paper for a nanny. Then Daniel changes the contact number on the form. He then bombards the house with strange calls until he calls as Mrs. Doubtfire. He then goes back to his brothers where they dress him as a grandmother.

He then goes to the interview as Mrs. Doubtfire at his house and gets the job as nanny. The court inspector comes just as Daniel comes home from the interview. He must now change into Daniel without being noticed. After talking with the inspector, she insists on getting a cup of...
