What do you think are the effects of this approach on (a) workers and (b) supervisors? The effects of this theory not only show themselves in the workplace but also in the home. In the workplace the workers are denied windows, privacy and even more basic needs such as refreshments at their workstations. The workers withdrew into themselves and played pretend games to get through their shift. They skipped meals just to be able to get fresh air and have a chance to talk to other workers. At home some workers carried the effects over into sleep, or into chores that are part of a normal day such as opening bills. 3. Do you regard Ron Edens’s approach to management as ethical and acceptable or unethical and unacceptable in the 2000’s? Why?
