Which Do You Prefer? When people are watching a show on the television and the commercials start, the first one that comes on is a movie trailer. After watching the movie trailer you realize that it is something you would like to see. What should you do next? Watching a movie at home after a long day of work can be very relaxing, but the experience with the big screen can make the movie more dramatic. When people choose whether to watch a movie at home or in the theater, they base their decision on many things. You see a movie trailer on the television and if it is something that really takes your interest I am sure the first thought that comes to your mind is “I definitely need to go see that”. A major plus about going to the theaters to see a movie is that the food is already made and ready for you to eat. They offer anything from popcorn to hotdogs, candies, soda and slushies, and every other little snack item you can imagine. Another reason to go see a movie in the theater is because of the bigger screen it offers you and along with that you get the surround sound. Having a 22x52 foot screen in front of you is an experience that you can only get in the theater; it allows you to have a better viewing of the movie. Surround sound gives you the opportunity to experience a more dramatic side of the movie; granted you can have the surround sound effect in your house but trust me, it is not the same as what you would get in the theater. Don’t we all wish that the seats in the theaters were more enjoyable to sit in? A downside to watching a movie in the theaters is the seats you have to sit in, especially for the longer movies, the seats can become very uncomfortable. If only they had recliners in the theaters, the kind you see in famous peoples’ homes. Having the luxury of going to see a movie right when it comes out can also be very costly. As of August 3, 2012
