Hamlet Movie Comparison From the two versions of Hamlet that we watched, Mel Gibson/Glenn Close and Kenneth Branagh; despite the fact they have the same plot but there are few differences between the both versions. Hamlet acting is really different in both versions of the movie. In Kenneth Branagh version we see the movie is done with strong emotions but Hamlet overacts in most of the scenes. We also see that Hamlet is not a calm thinker by watching how Hamlet amplifies his manners throughout the movie. In Mel Gibson’s version of Hamlet, Hamlet’s acting is outstanding because while watching the play we can see the effort and talent Gibson has put in the movie.
In The 'Burbs, Hanks uses the same excuse to investigate the home of his creepy neighbors. How Tom Hanks lets a room full of adults know that he has to pee. And in the art-house movie Road to Perdition, he uses his overactive bladder as a spidey-sense when he escapes a hit man by excusing himself to take a whiz. OK, this is still The 'Burbs. The footage of Hanks grabbing his penis in Road to Perdition wasn't nearly as funny.
Movie Assignment LeAndre Roberts Dr. West Bacone College 3/19/14 The movie I chose to watch was, “Do The Right Thing” directed by Spike Lee. There are a lot of things that I loved about this movie. For starters, Spike Lee directed the movie which was an added plus for the whole film. Spike Lee uses the same actors for most of his movies like Adam Sandler does for most of his films. It is unique for most film directors to do so, but for this film Spike Lee used his actors in perfect roles.
The plot in the first movie is written by Wes Craven as well and I the story line is very original and different from other horror films, the similarities is that there are teenagers as in all horror films and they are chase down by the murderer, but the original part is that all this happens when they go to the dream. I think this idea caught people attention as well other director to make a remake. The plot is about a man who hated kids all his life and when they fall asleep the character named
James Stewart was one of the best actors of the 1950’s. He had many charactistic that know one in Holly Wood. I think James Stewart was very successful in his movie career because, he was soft spoken and he believed that he could do any role that came his way. While I was growing up I watched two movies that James Stewart was in. The first movie was Vertigo.
There is a fine line between making fun of or mocking an individual with a mental disability and actually truthfully acting out how someone is with a real disability. Again, Hoffman does this very well and does not make the viewer feel as if he is making fun of anyone at all. Tom Cruise also plays his role very well, showing almost no remorse or sympathy towards his brother, Raymond, when they first meet. It takes a certain type of person to be able to act that out completely and make it believable. The entire topic of the movie is a very sensitive one, so Cruise was exceptional in making the viewer believe that he truly just wanted to get his half of the money from Raymond, and not build a relationship with him.
The next day, she disappears and Jeff notices that her husband is acting strange and suspicious. Jeff’s curiosity ends up putting his life and others in danger, as the murderer realizes that Jeff knows what he has done. Hitchcock used many different film techniques to make Rear Window. Such techniques included camera angles, wardrobe, facial expressions, use of sound and lighting, the placement of the apartments, and the partial view through the windows. However, use of sound is particularly important to this movie.
Josh Lucas did an outstanding job as coach Don Haskins. In moies.ign.com movie review, Jeff Otto writes, “The movie […] was well-acted. The acting is commendable. Josh Lucas excels in the sparse dialog, creating a physical presence that makes his character seem like living granted at times. Emily Deschanel has few scenes and lines, but she still creates a beautiful character for the coach’s wife.
The movie Old Glory by Vane Scott was a very education experience for me; I learned many interesting facts from the movie. For example I didn’t know we had 27 flags for the United States before we came to the official one and the variety of flags with their designs was incredible from the imagery and symbolism they had provided. With all the stories Vane Scott had provided and the vivid description it almost makes you feel you were actually their fight for our freedom. My reflection on the movie it was greatly done and well organized with Vane Scott providing his humorous jokes about the flag it really took some of the boring times to the best. Another thing I learned from the movie was how many people and troops contributed to what we have today and how the flags were coming to be.
While Skyfall isn’t based directly on one of Fleming’s novels, Broccoli, director Sam Mendes and the rest of the cast all agree the books have attitude, and the key to a great Bond is staying faithful to that tone. Bringing back Daniel Craig as your 007 makes the job a little easier. The cast kept mum while speaking to press in Istanbul, but details of the film’s larger arc echo the “back to Fleming” mantra. “It’s going back to the grassroots of MI6,” (Naomie) Harris suggested. “What actually happens is MI6 becomes
