She keeps a positive attitude flowing. Now she like to work amongst people. Ericka had work life balance, which makes her easy to deal with and she has been rated very high on her assessment. The work performance shows a lot of character and
The employees enjoy their work and are aware of the set goal. Although, there is a set goal they are given room for creativity and input. This allows them to make decisions and feel competent of the work that is accomplished. In chapter 3, we learned about different motivational theories such as The Hawthorne Studies by Elton Mayo, Theory X and Theory Y by Douglas Mcgregor, Immaturity- Maturity Theory of Argyris, Motivation-Hygiene Theory of Herzberg, and The Need Theory of Maslow. The factors that make people happy are all related to job content, according to
With the use of the six assessments given to three employees, a plan can be put into place to assist in keeping them motivated and increasing the quality of their work. Leigh Leigh is considered to be hard working, willing and eager to learn new things in the company, enthusiastic, and highly emotional. Whether it is volunteering for a project or helping another co-worker you can always depend on her. She has been known to be a little emotional but for the most part, she has been able to control her emotions. In order to keep her motivated and engaged, she needs to be able to remain busy helping others or working on projects with other groups.
Selena’s plan The Self-efficacy theory would be a good step to improve the way that Selena performs at work. This employee is usually willing to preforms her job at a high success rate. Therefore, this theory will give maximum benefit for her. She is usually the leader at work over 5 to 8 other employees. With her the individual characteristics she possesses motivation is never really issue with daily task done at work.
Leaders who possess this trait are able to adapt creatively and effectively to challenge and change. She is able to recover quickly from setbacks, opens up to employees and people around her, and is aware of her own motivations, strengths, and shortcomings. Other characteristics and achievements she has that has led to her success are that she is a great communicator, she is flexible in finding new ways to reach the goals of the company, and she is able to talk and listen to all employees to earn respect. She thinks along the lines of equality in how everyone should feel as if their job is as important as others. She likes to make sure all employees, including herself, share the same goals.
Merle was a working mother with three children and a partner who worked away from town. The qualities I admired most were:- * Merle always had a positive attitude and always had, or made time, for the staff . * she was able to explain tasks and demonstrate what was required to complete the tasks in a manner that everyone was able to understand. * Merle always provided feedback with a positive attitude, yes even bad feedback news/results. * She was confident in her own role as well as the roles that we had to fulfil, and our abilities to achieve the required outcomes.
She displayed a high level of engagement with job and experiences positive emotions while at work. This employee is not easily affected by her emotions and does not allow setback to effect her work. We felt the motivation plan that best applied to her is self-efficacy theory. With this theory we will place her in more demanding positions by taking advantage of her level of engagement. Our plan will also include showing more confidence in by making group leader on the upcoming company project.
Some of the traits were very well represented by Grace. Her high levels of energy, persistence and effort show some of the most important traits that a leader must have: Drive. Her desire to manage other people and help them to grow in the company, her honesty and integrity are some good qualities easy to see in Grace. Skills are also associated with a successful leader and Grace has some. Although I don’t believe this is her strong side, she develops some emotional and social intelligence.
With each problem solved or goal achieved, excitement grows within the team and a sense of accomplishment is felt once the process is completed (Bethea, Holland, & Reddick 2014). Highly effective teams are also proficient at the process of self –evaluation. These collaborations learn from each experience, gaining knowledge and skills to address the next challenge or situation. A collaboration’s honest critiquing of the care process encourages growth and leads to an even more effective team. #2 Effective collaborations though can only form if there are effective members on the team.
