The Most Important Day The most important day for me is when I was given a trophy for placing 3rd in the nation in pool. I’ve always loved the game ever since I was a young boy. When I was 11 I was lucky enough to be eligible to play on the junior pool league which is kind of like how the pros play. I even had a sponsor. Without a sponsor I would not have been able to play. The junior pool eight consisted of traveling all over the United States playing games in different states. My sponsor paid for all expenses such as travel, hotel, food, and torment fees. Sponsors just on sponsor anybody. You have to be good enough to be in a place in the money and just about all the tournaments. And I was and that’s why the tech beyond as their sponsor. A met a lot of different people and made a lot of friends. I had a lot of fun times flying in airplanes and just been able to visit other states. In 1981 I was asked to play in the biggest tournament in my life. I was asked to play for the state of Massachusetts. This tournament was made up from the best plays in every state and they wanted me to represent Mass. The tournament was going be held in Las Vegas. I was very nervous for taken on such a task, but I went any ways. A stayed at the Mirage, the same hotel that tournament was being held in. I arrived in Las Vegas on a Friday morning in that on it was going to be the next day. I’ve never been to Las Vegas before. So I was amazed by all the lights and casinos. They say the town never sleeps. They weren’t kidding, nothing ever close is open 24/7. Saturday morning I was all packed up with my pool cue ready to play and still nervous. This tournament is a lot different from the rest of them. My father was here with me and the game a little pep talk. He said “just have fun and do your best a matter what where and are loose on proud of you” with that said
