Add animal crackers, lightly pushing them into the banana or by adding just a touch of peanut butter to the bottom of each one so that they stick to the banana and can stand. Decorate the small paper flag. Attach to the toothpick. Place on one tip of the banana. If you want, you could even tint some white frosting blue
Skittles and Starbursts have many similarities and differences. They are both very vibrant and sweet with fruitful flavor but Skittles have a hard shell while Starbursts is fruit chews. Skittles are miniature, fruitful, hard-shell candies. They are circular in shape with a soft chewy inside. One-quarter cup of Skittles equals two grams of fat.
The Japanese attacked China when it was weak. They invaded Manchuria on September 18th, 1931. China was going through a depression, like the United States, so they were an easy target for the Japanese. During this time, Russia is a strong alley with China and so they are outraged at the attacks against China. The United States was an alley with Russia so therefore, they wanted to protect China as well.
A wasp then flies through a very small hole in the kitchen screen and into the cheesecake batter. The wasp ends up getting mixed into the cheesecake and eaten. In the first sentence of the poem, “You must have chortled finding that tiny hole in the kitchen screen”. Moore uses the word chortled which is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as, “laugh in a breathy, gleeful laugh, chuckle”. This is the first example of personification that Moore has in this poem.
Eric Sylvester English 102 February 21, 2013 Louisiana is known for its diverse culture and traditions. One of the most well-known traditions Louisiana culture is Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, and excitement for the entire family to enjoy. Everyone is usually wearing purple, green, and gold colors, and people are adorned with long colorful beads and goodies that are caught from the beautiful decorated floats. During Mardi Gras, most families sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching crowds of people walk between the floats.
Matthew Willis DEVE 0880-105A People come from all over the country to see all the magnificent floats driving by and throwing beads and stuffed animals to people shouting the loudest. Then when it’s over people have barbeques outside Where the floats just passed by, people cook chicken, hotdogs, ribs, and much more. Finally when everyone is done they go home with bags full of beads and stuffed animals and see how much they have and maybe throw some next year. Mardi Gras has been a tradition in Louisiana for many years. There are a lot of floats that pass by on Mardi Gras.
Saute the shrimp until just pink on both sides (about 5 minutes total). Serve on top of or with the grits. Garnish with parsley. Sour Cream Chive Biscuits Biscuits are a classic southern staple, and to make yours as mile high as possible, mix the dough together right before baking and use ice cold butter for the flakiest texture. I love these savory biscuits with a touch of honey and butter, still warm from the oven.
I visited Fijian, German, Filipino, Polynesian, Serbian, Polish, Russian, Scottish, Ukrainian, Thai, Italian, and Vietnamese tents. The very first thing that came to mind when witnessing the Folk Fair was Disney’s Epcot. In my opinion, one of the best things about different cultures is the food, so I obviously couldn’t wait to taste the heritage. I was slightly disappointed to realize that I’ve tasted most of what as offered, until I ran into the Germans. A German man made me what seemed like a cinnamon apple pancake, and it was paradise in my mouth.
