“Money makes the world go around” is a quote or the way things work that will appear in many dramas or movies that we have today. It seems to be one of the rules that people follow in today’s society. Money can’t solve all the problems in this word. But in today’s society in this whole universe, people rely on money and they need poverty in order to survive. The numbers of violence and crimes have been dramatically increases in the past years while the value and the importance of money keep up rising. People can’t live in the world without poverty because they already learned what violence is and the ways things work changed day by day by us people. We broke the peace and the naturalness of this world with visible and invisible violence. In the book “Violence” Gilligan stated that there are two types of violence in today’s society. One is Structural violence and the other one is Behavioral violence. “By “structural violence” I mean the increased rates of death and disability suffered by those who occupy the bottom rungs of society, as contrasted with the relatively lower death rates experienced by those who are above them. Those excess deaths (or at least a demonstrably large proportion of them) are a function of the class structure; and that structure is itself a product of society’s collective human choices, concerning how to distribute the collective wealth of the society. These are not acts of God.” (Page192) In other words, Gilligan clearly described that “structural violence” involve a large number of deaths and it is non-natural, which meant that it happened and caused by people. The society structured into different classes, and most of the time lower classes or status people are result in stress, shame, discrimination and denigration.
