Mobile phones – a blesing or a curse The technology of today is constantly increasing and the world has to be accepting of this. Mobile phones have become a definite essential. Communication between people is easier and fast. These devices are carried anywhere people go because the are light and easy to carry around, such that everyone is constantly in touch with others. Mobile phones are now inexpensive, easy to use, comfortable and equipped with almost every latest feature we desire, are also known as life savers as they can help people in emergencies. Nowadays people can call each other over a long distance, can be life-saving when emergency calls are needed, while also very useful to communicate with work colleagues, family and friends. In Japan, mobile phone companies provide immediate notification of earthquakes and other natural disasters of their customers free of charge. In the event of an emergency, disaster response crews can locate trapped or injured people using the signal than their mobile phones.Furthermore, mobile phones have also given birth to text messages, which are found to be more convenient than phone calls, because they can be answered at the receiver’s convenience without being disturbed. Moreover, these phones can be used for a multitude of other things, such that they are able to have the function of a computer, a music player, a camera, a video camera, a gaming console and a diary, among other uses. A long with all these advantages there are many disadvantages for mobile phone usage. These problems not only influence people personally but also the society. Symptoms caused by radiation of mobile phones are one of the main problems. Scientists believe that the radiation from mobile phones may cause the users to have headaches, earaches, blurring of vision and even cause cancer.
