I have learned very valuable information that will help me in school and life. I have been dreaming of being in the Army or Marines since I was born. I was told after completing ROTC and finishing officer’s school I would get the first four years of college free depending on what branch I wanted to join. I also wanted to join to make friends and be in a class that goes beyond the classroom. I have made many friends including Cadet/Private Sommermeyer and Cadet/Private Tatum.
My dad & mom were in JROTC and the said it would be good for me to be in. They said that I will grow a understanding of the military and they said it was fun to be a part of something a little bit bigger than just going to school. In JROTC I made a many friends and I have some type of plan for my future in life. There are some benefits for joining JROTC. There are many reasons I like taking it.
The three time management strategies I previously wanted to incorporate into my life were goal setting, prioritization, and managing interruptions. I am very proud to say I have stuck to my strategies. My intention for goal setting was to set small and manageable goals instead of overall goals that might seem intimidating. Instead of focusing on passing this class as a whole, I set weekly goals to do my best and learn from any feedback that was given. This allowed me to put my best foot forward each and every step of the way and made the class more exciting.
Grades are very crucial for getting acceptance to college. They are one of the major things that colleges look at to accept you (or so I have been told). So I will keep pushing myself so that my grades will increase this year, making it possible for me to hopefully enter a better school then I can right now. College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job.
I have already checked into the hiring process for junior college and if the institution is hiring when I retire I should meet the requirement as an instructor. My secondary thought about using my adult education degree is to work at a business as an instructor. I first started instructing in the military; just teaching classes informing personnel on-the-job as a security forces member. The trend in the security forces career field is to convert these teaching positions from military to civilian. All I need to do is be in the right place at the right time.
In addition, I want to be able to use my experience and skills for effort into leading the band through competition season and achieving the goals that our band has set for each year. This position is definitely going to be a learning experience, just by trying-out, but receiving it will be a learning experience as a leader. I think the position will teach me how to gain confidence and learn to speak publicly about my thoughts in a positive way. Personality wise, I think it will teach me to be a better-rounded and speak to everybody in the band and get to know people better. I also think this position will teach me how to balance fun and work time to benefit the band.
I learned to respect others, be more responsible and always do my best in everything. From this experiences, gave me the inspiration of joining the air force just after I finished my study. Instead of joining the RMAF, I become a logistic officer. Joining the military means I have permanent job and it’s good for me and for my family. I will serve for 21 years in service and I will have constant salary every month.
Essay When I was in high school, I belonged to Army JROTC, and I was the first sergeant of my company. I led the drills, called cadence, conducted inspections, and I was up for promotion to captain the following school year, but unfortunately my schedule conflicted with other courses that I needed for college, and I was unable to continue in the program. However, Army JROTC was the first course that I ever took that gave me a sense of accomplishment, confidence in myself, and pride in the feeling that comes from being able to set goals, achieving them, and earning the respect of your peers while at the same time doing something in pursuance of a noble cause. I set a goal for myself to go to college and satisfy my educational objectives to prepare myself, so that one day I could prove worthy of becoming a leader in the United States Army. My life experiences and my strong desire to succeed coupled with an unrelenting work ethic and a strong sense of duty and commitment to my country, make me an excellent candidate for officership in the United States Army.
However, becoming an officer takes more than just an education. You must have excellent leadership skills. Caleb has already taken steps to improve his leadership traits by attending a program called Civil Air Patrol. Civil Air Patrol is a program dedicated to improving and training cadets to become better leaders. The program teaches leadership through example and hard work.
I think that it’s really helpful to help you become a leader later in your life. The mission of JROTC is to “motivate young people to become better citizens”. I want to become a part of that group of people. Another reason that I joined the
