Military Life vs Civilian Life B. Anderson English Comp 102 Today, our military is has a large number of people that signed up to protect our country, and the soldier is the one who is on active duty they have families that are with them for moral support as well and to help ease the mental situations that comes with the military such as being away from home extended periods of time and missing the ones you care about. Another portion that the military consist of would be the civilian population, and of course if there were no civilians we would not have no use for the military, so there is a very important role the military have and for the most part I found that there have been a lot of misunderstandings when it comes to the lifestyle of the military. Since I’ve been in army one of the biggest misunderstandings would have to be the pay the military gets. And for some reason a lot of people simply think they get paid a lot more than they do and that’s simply not the case and maybe because the benefits are very good to say the least, but the civilian lifestyle and the military lifestyle have plenty of differences, for one the military have a huge responsibility, dealing with protecting our country and the soldiers have to go through a series of training daily along with the physical training daily as well to stay in shape for the missions of the military, and the civilians have important jobs as well but the stress levels while in the military maybe a little more intense, because sometimes you really don’t know what to expect, but you just have to be strong mentally as well. Some civilian jobs are stressful but it’s a different stress when you have your life on the line.
