A major issue would be tackling obesity. Obesity is a common risk factor in today’s society so by having campaigns or even workshops individuals can asses vital information on how to avoid obesity, such as informing them about the consumption of healthy foods, necessary exercise and where to gain help. On the other hand an example of the medical model of health would be a patient who has gone to the doctors due to abdominal pains. In order for the doctor to give a diagnosis they would have to interact with the patient and obtain some medical history. After that the doctor can check the patient

The Impact of Blood Sugar and Insulin on Dieting Brady Palmer Lock Haven University People, who support weight loss plans, believe that isolating the different causes of obesity and overweight will guarantee weight loss in a short amount of time. By isolating the different causes of weight gain, the supporters of the weight loss plans believe that losing weight will be made simpler for people, who would want to lose weight without devoting too much time for exercise and dieting. The causes of weight gain are determined by a person’s consumption of food and production of hormones. The supporters of weight loss plans feel that limiting the production of certain hormones through the regulation of food consumption can significantly reduce weight loss in comparison to exercise and dieting. Insulin is a hormone that significantly contributes to weight gain (Hertzler & Kim, 2003).
The results I hope to achieve is to be motivated to lose the weight by making my goals definitive. Unclear goals like “I’m going to start losing some weight” doesn’t really commit me to anything definite. But, by making my goals more precise, I can better envision what the end results should look like. To keep us more focused, imagining what I would look like after those first months will get us emotionally invested and is better motivation that just mere numbers on a scale. Some examples of this would be to set out on a strategy and this strategy will incorporate a proper diet regimen along with whatever exercise programs that works best for us.
People on a carb controlled diet need to control their portion intake. Even if they eat too much of a portion of healthy foods it could mess with their blood sugar levels. Fruits, milk and starches are also good carbohydrates. They should intake about 45- 60 grams of carbohydrates a meal. A carb controlled diet allows diabetics more choices of food.

This would distract out attention from the pain and would make us feel good. The association in the subconscious is set and the treat becomes the focus of the reduction of pain. When we are older, when things go wrong in a relationship people will revert back to this and eat the sweet things to make them feel better and is comfort. Eating to get attention and gain authority. For some people size makes them feel more important and powerful.
