With the invention of the internet, television and cellular phone growing up in today’s world is comparatively easier than that of our parents or better yet, their parents. On an average, busy, day we might not notice how much technology really affect us; something considered a miracle just a few years age is now an everyday occurrence. From the second our cell phone alarm clock wakes us up until we shut down our computers or TVs and go to bed, technology is all around us and is becoming more and more depended on. Children comprehend these complicated inventions at progressively younger ages, and we should wonder if this is good for their developing minds. To be so over stimulated by such mesmerizing TV shows, or internet games or cell phone features, or would it be healthier to grow up naturally, with just a coloring book and their endless imagination.
In this essay I will be talking about how children are affected by television. Although many parents these days do not want their children to watch television, there are a lot of educational shows available today. Many parents may not want their children to watch modern television, and I would have to tell those parents that there are some shows out there these days that are very educational and they are aimed towards the young. Watching the educational cartoons can be very helpful for a child’s mind. There can be positive results emotionally, physically, and psychologically.
Politicians and political parties are keen to use websites, blogs, wikis, podcasts or having listings on social networking websites like facebook and twitter as a way of reaching voters, especially young voters due to the fact that Young voters are less likely to vote. Voter apathy is a major obstacle for all political parties and politicians alike, with only 61% of voters turning out to vote in the 2005 General Election. On the contrary, however, one way of arguing against the view that the media is the most influential factor, is to argue that social class plays an important role. When voting analysis began in 1945 it became clear that social class was the most important factor in the way people traditionally voted. People tended to vote according to their natural
Voting is essential to the American democracy; therefore, government laws allow all citizens, eighteen and older to vote. Unfortunately, many choose not to. Those who are eligible to vote should not miss an opportunity to make their voice known. Many young American voters believe that they do not have the time to learn who the candidates are and what they stand for. But in this day and age, it is as easy as clicking a button.

My research for the Social Media will be through our Social News Networks such as: Twitter, Facebook, and Yahoonews.com. The belief is that everyone will find Social Media gives us more of the truth, value, in a timely matter and less censorship, due to Popular Media having to answer to special interests like commercialism, and consumerism. The people who report news on Social Media are usually more true to their values, and report with less prejudice than people who report for Popular Media, because they have no commercialism, and so called employers telling them what to publish, or what not to publish. Popular Media must first satisfy special interest Social Media must satisfy no one, except their own personal freedom of expression. This knowledge is believed to be important for us all, so that we can decide how we would like our information delivered.
Parents have the power to not make their children eat junk food and to decrease the chances of their child ending up with a long term illness. Children though have a much bigger power in getting what they want and that is called pester power. They constantly bother and annoy their parents and make a big scene in front of the public to simply buy a box of cereal with Dora on it because they saw it on television. So instead of listening to their child screaming they just buy it
Diet of television is the answer. I think parents should not replace a baby sitter for the TV, or even replace them selves for the TV. I know a lot of parents who prefer to sleep 30 minutes alone, and all they do is send their children to watch TV or play violent video games, they totally forget about the damage it is causing to them, and when they grow up parents complaint why their children are so violent with them and everybody else. I think the idea of built-in time-channel lock circuitry is awesome. Imagine a kid solving a puzzle -which will help to develop his brain- instead of watching TV; also this kind of activities will keep him safe from violence.
shows, vitiates the purity and innocence of young minds. On the internet, children under the age of 18 can enter adult websites; such as Xtube, Fakku, and Redtube. Sure they ask for the age when you first enter the site, but lying is always possible. Though many people argue that it’s up to the kids to decide what they want to watch the rated contents or not, but if there is no internet then the kids wouldn’t even be watching it in the first place. Maybe adult pornography sites don’t apply to every single kid, but how about the violent, gory, and explicit video games that elementary school children play?
Now nobody wants their kid to watch those shows because they could learn from the bad behaviors that these shows air on TV. I know from experience that kids learn from movies, shows, and video games. When I was little my favorite movie was Top Gun because I thought that airplanes were the coolest things in the world. I had the soundtrack and an F-14 Tomcat model sitting on a shelf in my room. But in the movie I saw someone flip someone off.
