What measures would you take in order to simplify your life? What are the advantages of a simpler lifestyle on a personal and environmental level? In the consumerist society in which we live, we associate having lots of possessions with being happy, or at least happier. Personally I do not believe that we need to buy or consume so much to be able to reach a good quality of life. Moreover, with the times of crisis in which we are living, a good option for happiness is to simplify our lives by not spending money. The main measures that I would take would be: establishing a "no distractions zone", limiting the storage space and making a list of the most important tasks every day. The first measure I would take is the setting up of a "no distraction zone". I usually am frequently distracted, something which hinders me from concentrating when I am studying or doing homework. For that reason, I would establish a room in such a way that it doesn´t allow me to become distracted, that is to say, without a telephone, electronic mail, computer, with nothing on the walls, without noisy talkative people around, etc. In this room I would only leave the essential tools for my work. As well as this, I would also establish a fixed timetable to use this zone, and another to carry out other tasks and for leisure activities. In order to continue simplifying my life, the next thing that I would do would be to limit storage space. This would be the next step as I tend to keep many things that I do not use; for example, toys from when I was a child, things kept to remember something etc. This entails a lot of badly used storage space and a lot of lost time arranging things that are useless. In order to carry out my objective, I would classify objects into 3 boxes: (1) to throw away, (2) to donate, and (3) The "Question Mark" box. The purpose of the 2 first boxes is obvious. The third
