Treatment towards women in the pass had been a nightmare women were expected to be at home and take care of household type things. for example like cooking , taking care of kids , cleaning , washing clothes , etc. this type of treatment is very sexist men looked down on women when it came to being independent and being able to fend for themselves . Reflect with the story A & P by John Updike the girls that went inside the store with their bikini tops, a soon they enter to store some guys look to their and start talking behind and criticize, the manager of the store Lengel chastises the girls for entering the store in bathing suits, citing store policy. This man is sexiest I can tell this because this man talk rudely to the girls sometimes
Besides Nick, there are no honest characters, no good hearted people. It even turns out that Gatsby was corrupt: “He [Gatsby] and this Wolfshiem bought up a lot of side-street drug stores here and in Chicago and sold grain alcohol over the counter. That’s one of his little stunts. I picked him for a bootlegger...” (127) On the side of the upper class, there are characters like Tom and Daisy: "They were careless people, Tom and Daisy - they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made..." (170) Tom is cheating on Daisy, and has no remorse and does not care how she feels about it. He even has the nerve to say, “I suppose the latest thing is to sit back and let Mr Nobody from Nowhere make love to your wife...you can count me out...” (124) Daisy is portrayed to be an innocent character yet the author shows us her dishonesty when she gives her heart to whoever will give her more attention.
Leaving home at 16 doesn't even seem all that bad to me when I think about being away from this family. Everyone's down stairs having a great time laughing and I'm sitting in the bathroom crying about how much my life sucks and no one cares. My ducking father is a heroine addict that would choose coke or heroine over me any day and my mother is fucking addicted to her pain killers and sits home all day letting her child not eat for days. She won't give me money or take care of me. All she has to do is get a faking job and she won't even do that.
One day when the cat sneaked up into his study, it found him taking a nap, and sometimes driveling on the book he had been reading before dozing off. The cat says that its master had a weak stomach which made his skin look yellowish. It says that he is a great consumer of food. The cat says that if it would get a chance to reborn, then it would like to be born as a school-teacher like its master who would always kept dozing off in his study, though the others thought him to be studious. The cats master had picturized the profession of a school teacher not to be so
Unfortunately I am very insecure person and my room gives me the assurance that I can’t get elsewhere. My knitting room has merely the knitting and sewing machine sounds that provoke a sense of relaxation. Immediately, when I enter the room, and I sit on my old wood chair, the tension releases in my shoulders release the stress, and I feel confidence. The only noise in the room is the grinding noise of the sewing machine and the tapping of the knitting needles hitting each other when I make a scarf. Sometimes I finish a crochet baby blanket in a just couple of hours because I do not have distractions.
