Plot- the scene revolves around a father whose son got suspended on the first day of school for being caught with a girl in the janitors closet. My character is a busy father at work who has to go deal with his son’s suspension from school. He wants his son to behave well but and do the right thing but he is not really mad because he believes boys will always be boys when it comes to girls. On top of his sons suspension he still have to go to home and explain what happen with their son to his wife.
Character- Mr. Johnson- father, who is mad at his trouble making son, who he loves.
Thought – father having a talk with his son about getting suspended from school on the first day in front of the principal’s office.
Language- argumentative, aggravated and comedic
Sounds- bell rings, school announcements
Visual-the outside of your typical high school principal office, with few chairs by the door.
Building the character- I decided the character I play to be a young father who takes things seriously when he have to but have a fun side. It was easy for me to portray that because its more similar to my personality.
Imagination- It was easy to imagine the scene because I have been on the other end of my character. I have been called to the principal’s office and have my dad yelled at me because of my actions, except he was not as easy going as my character.
Emotional memory – I have been called to the principal’s office and have my dad yelled at me because of my actions, except he was not as easy going as my character. I also channeled in the times when I was captain of my wrestling team and yelled at my team mates during practice.
Sub- text- it was a fun character to play, even though I am young it was nice to play an older character who take responsibility not for only his actions but for his sons action.
