The Wolfgang Puck Companies encompasses over 20 fine dining restaurants, premium catering services, more than 80 Wolfgang Puck Express operations, and kitchen and food merchandise, including cookbooks and canned foods. He is the official caterer for the Academy Awards Governors Ball, and has parlayed his celebrity into acting; his credits include Frasier, a recurring role as himself on Las Vegas and a cameo appearance on The Weather Man. McDonald’s started investing in Chipotle in February of 1998, and supported them financially for seven years.1 This financial backing enabled Chipotle to expand nationally and become large enough to offer stock. In 2006, Chipotle and McDonald’s went their separate ways in order to focus more on each company’s core activities. Currently Chipotle operates 956 restaurants in 35 states in the United States, the District of Columbia, and Canada.2 The company is expected to open up between 120 and 130 new restaurants in the upcoming year. The boys chose the restaurant. Five Guys was originally named for Jerry and his four sons, upon the birth of his fifth son, the company name stayed but now reference his sons. Five Guys Burgers and Fries practice a simply stated mission that is followed up with a simply stated menu. The first statement in the mission of the company is “we are in the business of selling burgers”. This has been the basis for their restaurants since day one and continues into over 1000 company owned and franchised locations.

Currently, the McDonald’s corporation is the world’s largest chain of fast food restaurants that serves nearly forty-seven million customers daily through thousands of restaurants in one hundred and nineteen countries worldwide (CITE). Their mission is to be their customers’ favourite place and thing to eat, and too improve their operations to provide the most delicious fast food that meet their customers’ expectations (CITE).
By the early 1970s, the company expanded throughout the Southeast, establishing Red Lobster as the leader among seafood and casual dining restaurants. "Our biggest competition back then was the kitchen stove," said Joe Lee, a key member of that early crew who later went on to become CEO and chairman, leading the company through much of its growth. Today, there are more than 680 Red Lobster locations in the United States and Canada. Their reputation as seafood experts is known worldwide. It is evident that Americans choose Red Lobster over other casual seafood dining restaurants due to their reasonably priced menu selections, restaurant cleanliness, and exceptional customer service.
Three gentlemen of the restaurant business founded Outback Steakhouse in 1987. Chris Sullivan, Bob Basham, and Tim Gannon put this company together in the efforts of producing the top of the line food at a fair price. In the beginning they expected to build five restaurants in one region of Florida, at the end of 1988 sales were $2.7 million from two restaurants and by the end of 1994 they had over 200 restaurants and sales of $594 million system wide. All three of the men had backgrounds in the restaurant business, Chris was a busboy, Bob was a dishwasher, and Tim was a chef. Chris and Bob moved up to executive roles in the Bennigans restaurant group, and found ambition to create their own restaurant.
