Faculty Interview of A Health Care Educator Joey Millis, RN CEN HSN/548: Role of the Health Care / Nursing Educator February 20, 2012 Rebecca Gesler Faculty Interview of A Health Care Educator The role of the faculty educator encompasses a multitude of special talents, that provide the educator the opportunity to provide outstanding educational opportunities for the students they teach. Clinical instructors merge their clinical knowledge and a enthusiasm for training into prosperous and fulfilling careers. These professionals, whose vocation is in the classroom and the health care setting, are accountable for cultivating and mentoring present and potential generations of nurses. Educators take part in the primary role in the growth of the nursing workforce, helping as role models and only if to give the guidance needed to implement the evidence-based practices that will be used in today's health care world. According to Graff and Hansman, "Curriculum designers need to work collaboratively across the disciplines, so that the health education fields ensure proper training of future health care educators who are equipped to meet the ever-changing needs of the adult learner"(1999).
At this Center the patients are Cancer related. As I spend more time as an intern at this Center I was inspired by Dr. Howard Bruckner work how he help and gave hope to many of these people, had myself raise some questions on the concepts and wonder what it would be like to be a part of the Bruckner Oncology team or somewhat relate to this field. I believe that Medical Assistant program classes at ASA College help gave me an opportunity to pursue my passion for helping those with medical problems and let me feel at ease on the first hand training at the Center of Bruckner Oncology. At the Bruckner Oncology Center I learn to Answering phones and making appointments ordering supplies, greeting patients, pulling and filing patient charts, calling in or faxing prescriptions, converting charts to electronic charting. Hopefully I can take these skills I learn and better myself in life.
I will need to learn everything I can including healthcare management, finance and accounting, legal & ethical parameters, patient laws and health and disease factors. I must be able to have the needed experience and appropriate employer/employee communication skills to effectively run and manage a facility. It is extremely important I am the effect leader of a group of team players as successful leaders have an understanding of how much employee learns best. My experience and classes earning this degree will provide the needed knowledge for my field, as well as numerous team project activities to help me manage groups and learn more about people. The delivery for long-term health care has greatly changed over the years.
Personal Philosophy of Nursing As a Registered Nurse and a Health Care Provide, I impact and influence patients and the people around me. It is important to know what your philosophy is and how you integrate that into how you care for and work with people. In my paper, I want to write about why I became a nurse, what I believe about nursing and where I think the profession is headed. Choice of Nursing I worked in health care for several years prior to becoming a nurse. My first health care job was as a pharmacy tech in a retail pharmacy.
Lastly, the issues of senior leaders not spend enough time mentoring younger leaders (Grazier, 2005). He states that an important part of his career came from his association with mentors and he truly learned and grew because of them. The solutions proposed by Spaeth emphasize on the importance of hiring individual sentering healthcare having sufficient financial insight so they are not learning finances on the job and can concentrate mainly in relations with people. He accentuates that leaders are individuals who are born as leaders because their personality allows them to relate well with others and encourage others to get the job done. But, then states leadership qualities can be taught as well.

Credentials – I am able to present this information today because I have done extensive research on Pediatric Nursing. D. Purpose – The purpose of my speech is to inform you about Pediatric Nursing. Thesis – There are many things that is interesting about Pediatric Nursing, but I will only be talking about a few like facts on Pediatric Nursing, information on how to become a Pediatric Nurse, and the salary and benefits of Pediatric Nursing. Reflection as a learning tool allows me to identify the positive and negative aspects of my practice and to draw upon previous experiences and apply them to new situations “Reflective practice has, however, the potential to help practitioners in all fields unlock the tacit knowledge and understanding that they have of their practice and use this to generate knowledge for future practice”. (Schutz, 2007 pg.26) The clinical competency I have chosen in this report is Phlebotomy. As part of my role as a health care support worker within a District Nursing team Phlebotomy is one of my primary duties. The clinical skill I have chosen to reflect upon within this account is venepuncture. Confidentiality has been maintained throughout within this assignment and all names and locations are changed in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council code of conduct (2008, Section: Confidentiality) and for this purpose I have chosen to name the patient as Mrs Jones.
Mr. Jones is charged with the challenging tasks of coordinating the efforts of the member endocrinologists which includes legislative lobbying for medical services, financial statements for the association, the recruitment of new members to the association, and requisitioning grant funding for continuing medical education activities. He was asked several questions about his philosophy about leadership and if the change has affected his decision to progress with new ideas as well as the functionality of his organization. Based on the multitude of systems available, it is important to ensure that an effective system is acquired and that the proper post-purchase training occurs. Individually, it is my goal to be a sign of change in my respective field of Clinical Psychology and to help propel my community into a new, modern, reformed way of thinking. After studying biology for four years at Acadia University and having broad research experience with both plants, animals, and psychology, my desire to cure various ailments and help and counsel
