Harley Davidson is great at providing their customers with form, time, place, & ownership utility. They do this by knowing their customers & anticipating their needs. So their customers are able to find their goods and services available when and where they want to purchase them. 2. In what ways does Harley- Davidson practice relationship marketing? Explain. It gives each new owner a year membership into H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group). It promotes HOG family by offering discounts to those who renew. This membership allows the members entry into secluded parts of the company’s website, & a touring handbook. It also informs them of events for the members at bike events. There are bike chapters in the US & other countries. 3. How does Harley- Davidson use the Internet in its marketing? Full members in the owners group can take advantage of the company’s online travel service to schedule a Fly & Ride vacation to any of 41 different locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, or Australia, picking up a bike from a local Harley- Davidson dealership on arrival to tour in style or simply renting a bike at selected dealerships. 4. Would you say that Harley- Davidson adopts a consumer orientation in its marketing efforts? Explain your answer. Yes they do adopt a consumer orientation & I say this because of the length of time they’ve been in business as well as the number of repeat customers that they have. They really focus on their customers & try hard to maintain them on a long term basis as well as acquire new loyal
