It is also about establishment and maintenance of brand along with identification and fulfillment of customers’ needs. According to Kotler we required creative strategies and plans for marketing. To create creative strategies and plan we must collect information about current market in that we must able to understand customer’s needs according to that we can define different strategies and plans which will be beneficial for company. Because until and unless you doesn’t understand customers needs, identify sufficient demand for their product and services that are useful to make profit there is no use of other business functions such as finance, accounting and operations. Marketing plan consist of situational analysis, marketing strategy, financial projection and implementation control. In this paper, I discussed whether marketing plans are important to organization to be successful in the business. For that purpose, I have chosen Nike, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd and Sony. Here we will discuss how most of the times marketing plans are useful and sometimes it is useless. .
