For many years, The United States Army and the United States Marine Corps has been subjects of comparison on many areas. The United States military force is divided into three different branches of military service under the Department of Defense: The U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Navy. The U.S. Marine Corps is actually a branch of the Navy while the Coast Guard is usually under the Department of Homeland Security. The United States Army and the United States Marines while similar in some areas they still very different in their mission goals and they accomplish those goals in different ways. Many people want to compare these two branches of our military force, but they are simply not the same.
To expand their membership, OMGs are reaching out to active duty, reservist and National Guard personnel, who are currently members of a bonafide support club, to bolster their numbers. Even more disturbing, they are recruiting members who possess Top Secret or Secret Clearances and are employed by the federal government or a Department of Defense (DOD) contractor. (2010 ATF Intelligence Report). What is the number of service members affiliated with OMG’s? Although there hasn’t been an established number of SM’s in OMG’s, law enforcement is aware that they are a part of or affiliated with OMG’s.
Now, not everyone who was conscripted was willing to serve their country and they were label “draft evaders” or “draft-dodgers”. There are some Countries with mandatory military service that requires both men and women to serve their prospective Countries military. Now, one would say mandatory military service would be practical because it would increase
The Army’s military police must balance both the duties and training of being a full time soldier while also maintaining double the professionalism due to their law enforcement authorities. The average active duty Army post is home to between ten and fifteen thousand soldiers and their families. This provides law enforcement with a relatively tight-knit community in which they work, but also provides many stresses not encountered in the civilian world. Due to the nature of the Profession of Arms, many calls that Military Police Officers may face are fairly unique to their job. Not only do they deal with traditional calls such as assaults, robberies, or murders, but they also must encounter soldiers dealing with PTSD or other mental debilitations that come from the high stress environment of combat deployments.
First, many women want to serve their country and fight for it, rather than serve in behind the scenes functions. Second, because women do not serve in active combat roles in many areas of the armed forces, they do not face the threat of a draft, and many people feel that is unfair. More importantly, women in the military face several challenges their male counterparts do not face, such as pregnancy, menstruation, sexual harassment, the need to leave children at home for long periods of time, and gender issues. These issues can create emotional and physical barriers to a woman's performance, and they are perhaps the most contentious problems with women in the military. In recent months, I have had a chance to catch up with one of my neighbors who has just returned from her tour of Iraq.
Some countries, like India, say they allow women in their military, but there are very few of them and they aren’t allowed to do anything significant. They are also only allowed to serve for fourteen years, and they don’t get pensions or other benefits. The United States and the United Kingdom do allow women to serve, but both countries are very behind on giving women equal rights to men. The United Kingdom currently bas women from “all roles whose primary duty is to be close to and kill the enemy.” The United States bars women from serving on the front lines because of physical capability and tradition. Recently, women have been given the rights to fill certain roles, but none of them were on the ground and in combat until January of this year.
Is Military Intervention Ever Justified? How we can define the word “intervention”? Military intervention in the domestic affairs of other countries already occurs over the centuries. Over the period of time the way of intervention still same except the tactics and reason that led to military intervention always changed depends on what issues occur. And at the same time, it’s very rare for those who involve in the intervention put an effort to end a complicated emergency or conflict, until recently.
Army and Air Force Enlistment Requirements Venita B. Long ENG 121: English Composition I Professor Tina Santino March 26, 2012 There are a lot of young males and females who would like to serve their country by joining the military. Our military of today is a join of forces which includes different branches of the services that consist of the Army, Air Force, Marines, and Navy. Which branch of service is right for any individual is a good question. The only way to answer that question is to know what the requirements and missions are for those services.
If these were the options for mandated public services, all young people would contribute greatly to their countries while having a better sense of what is happening around them. One reason the United States military is so powerful and strong is because it is made up of volunteers. Every soldier fighting on the front lines is there because they volunteered and made a commitment to their country. If the people were forced to join the military, then the soldiers, as a whole, might not be as reliable or as strong because some soldiers might be unmotivated to fight. Despite the fact that the military is a magnificent spot for young people to learn discipline, some of them don't have the respect for the service the military provides.
Each have many specific tasks. (Robbie Hughes Interview) Military background and history has been in the world for a long time. It goes back as far as Assyrians, Spartans, Aztecs, Romans and Greek. The military purpose is mainly to protect our country and our rights and freedoms. It’s just a part of nature.
