Management and My Life Today By Principals of Management When it comes to managing my life, it is definitely a full time job that requires many of the same skills that would be required of a manager in the workforce. As I learn more about being a leader, I find more examples where my life is very similar to the jobs that I will hope to acquire once I complete my college program. Being vocal, informative, compromising, and willing to negotiate are just a few of the important skills that I’ve utilized in everyday living. Having interpersonal skills while in a relationship is very important. The willingness to be a leader and to take charge of your life is an important ability to possess and is borderline required when children are involved. As a father of two young children, I am their leader. I have to educate them and steer them in the right direction until they learn to do so for themselves. As a current stay-at-home father, my children seem me as the figurehead and likely come to me with questions or concerns. Being always prepared to answer questions and help them when called upon is important in their upbringing the same way that it is important to assure quality customer service and employee care in your profession. Most of us live our daily lives with a series of past experiences that we can refer back to. This information has taught us how to approach new issues that arise. This is a big part of the informational aspect of management in my home life. Not only does this information assist me with decisions in my adult life, but it also helps with raising my children. On average, a child asks 300 questions per day. Life experience and knowledge gained through years of education have helped me to field and answer these questions to the best of my ability. Of course, not all 300 questions from a child will justify a thought out
