We attended a Greek Orthodox Festival and while we were there we watched people dance to Taverna-Style music, we ate Gyros, Dolmas which is herbed rice and beef rolled in a grape leaf, and we also had Keftethes (Greek meatballs), and Spanakopita (spinach in filo). Moreover, I did not say a word to anybody my entire first year. I could not read any of the work giving to me much less understand it. Consequently, I was held back one grade. Times where difficult for me the first few years here in America.This new life I now live in America transformed me completely to a different person. Today, I realize how important and significant that change was.
I was heading away on a family holiday for a week and I told the other group members what day I was going away and when I was coming back. Hannah was also going away and let us all know. By doing this we were able to work around each other’s time constraints and still be successful as a group. All of us share a room whose rent is paid by my mom and my sister only, while my check helps bring the bread to our room. We move just about every other month due to huge differences in lifestyles between my family and the people we rent with. Where we move to is not a big deal for me because I am hardly ever home to avoid problems with whomever we live with. Between school, basketball practice, cheer, sports medicine, and my job, I keep myself busy so I only arrive at our room to get some rest at night. These are difficult times and I am aware that there are many more to come.

If you don’t have very many friends, CAB is where you want to be. With an abundance of great, friendly members, it could help you gain lifetime friends. CAB host events such as lunch socials, midnight breakfast, tailgating for games, and concerts. I’m sure by the end of the school year, you’ll have plenty friends. You also gain leadership skills when being a member of CAB.
