Bringing a character on stage to life can be a difficult task. You have to find the right voice, body language, clothing, and the right expressions. In my high school the theatre students were so outgoing and creative. I admired them for their ability to take a brief description of a character and recreate that character on stage. Bret has this admirable quality.
Being a leader in my band provides me with a sense of pride. Working as a group is a huge challenge, but in the end, it is worth it to put on a spectacular performance. My musical career has helped me become a more confident individual. I have been performing solos and in ensembles since the seventh grade. To be able to achieve a superior rating at these contests, one must practice every week.
How music affects us is connected through our brains neurochemistry, our mental associations with the music, our culture, and our spirit, which are all mentioned in this scientific journey. Through this journey the writer perplexed me with scientific and musical vocabulary and redundant examples, but at the same time, I was fascinated with his description of the anatomy of the brain and why we enjoy the music we prefer listening to. I must admit that I had high expectations for this book because of my appreciation for music and what a significant role it plays in my life. However, when I began reading, I found the beginning of the book to be very abstruse. Knowing the definitions of pitch, timbre, meter and loudness, to name a few, do not help me enjoy music more than what I already do.

Although this musical rarely breaks the fourth wall we will incorporate this into our version to add more non naturalistic features and make our performance unique. The other elements of kneehigh such as song, dance and the asides do engage the audience in a sense that they will be clinging onto the characters dialogue and song. Another feature of kneehigh used would be multi rolling as all of the members of the group will be taking on more than one role e.g. the person playing the tin man is also playing Aunt Em and the person playing the Wicked Witch is playing the Great and Powerful
The sounds coming from his guitar seemed to make a comparison of himself as being a free spirit that had a drive of passion for the music he was making. Throughout the performance it showed that on stage he enjoyed what he was doing and wanted everyone who watched him to feel the exact same way as he did. Hendrix knew how to get the crowd moving to the sounds of his guitar almost to the point of no worries but enjoying the music with the people that surrounded you at the festival. Seeing this musical experience myself made me wish I could’ve witness this kind of greatness and share it amongst my friends in that time period. Overall, what I’ve learned about music is that music is not only written but also speaks like we do as humans but in a different language sort of speak.
One of the most important aspects is preserving my friendships. Ellington was so close and acknowledged of his friends and band-members that he was able to compose music that fit their personalities. This goes to show that he spent many hours getting to really know these people and built a strong bond with them. His story has taught us that the more friends we have the better, because we all can benefit from having more friends. Ellington has also taught me that it is okay if things get tough but at the end its how tough we are that define whether or not we can succeed accomplish our career and study
What a song! As a big Stevie Wonder fan, I was excited to hear this piece as a closing. The ensemble plays the piece gracefully from beginning to the end. I really enjoyed myself at this sponsored event as the music, the ambiance; the liveliness was a great combination. Music being played live should always be appreciated because the future is going downhill as far as appreciating true and live music.
Your favorite genre of dance, and why? I enjoy all styles of dance, but my favorite genre is contemporary. You are to attempt to illustrate and interpret the actual meaning and emotion communicated in the song. I love being able to tell a story while utilizing the lyrics or mood of the music. 3.
This concert performance was actually very fun and light as well as moving because of the variety of pieces played. The children’s pieces and the culturally recognizable pieces made the audience feel light and happy because of their fun. The more emotional and moving pieces were also very beautiful and memorable. The concert was different than I expected because I did not expect to hear children’s music or music that was easily recognizable to me, but I enjoyed it. I hope to be able to attend more concerts like it in the
