Don’t confuse mass and weight as mass is actually the amount of ‘stuff’ that makes up an object measured in kilograms. Weight is the force calculated by Weight (N) = Mass (kg) x Gravitational field strength (N/kg) W m The gravitational field strength on Earth is taken as 10N/kg. A resultant force is the sum of forces acting on an object. 2N 4N 4N Resultant force = 2N + 4N = 6N to the right g 2N
Results and Discussion For the first part of the experiment (Part A), five different 100 mL volumetric flasks were each filled with 1,2,3,4 and 5 mL of iron (II) solution. Then 5 mL of YY ligand, were poured to each of the five flasks. Each flask had 5 mL of 2M sodium acetate and 4 mL of 3M NH2OH. Then the whole solution was diluted up to the 100 mL fill mark with distilled water. This was the solution that was used in order to obtain the absorption spectrum for each of the different iron (II) ligand examples different flasks.
c. Prepare the solution by dissolving 38.90 grams of ZnI2 with 500 mL of water. d. 0.0125/0.25 = 0.05 L = 50 mL. This produces 0.0125 moles of ZnI2 5. Exercise 5: a. (0.125)(0.1) = 0.0125 moles of solute b. Pour 50 mL of the stock solution to get the number of moles needed.
What is the mass of object 1? __________19.5g_____________________ An object’s volume is the amount of space it takes up. The volume of an irregular object can be measured by how much water it displaces in a graduated cylinder. Place object 1 into the Graduated Cylinder. What is the volume of object 1?
1436026.67/4=359,006.6675. 2. The holding tanks are congruent in size and both are in shape of a cylinder that has been cut in half vertically. The bottom of the tank is a curved surface. What is the volume of both tanks if the radius of the tank #1 is 15 feet and the height if tank #2 is 120 feet.

if you were to have a larger hole in your aluminum cap, you would be losing vapor to the room. If this is the case then you would have a falsely high weight of vapor. It seems that you take a known volume of vapor and condensed and weigh it b) Water vapors condensed under the aluminum foil before the final weighing. If Water vapors condensed under the aluminum foil before the final weighing, the final weight would be lower than the fact. There will have some error.
How many moles of gas does it take to fill a 1.0 L flask at a pressure of 1.5 atm at 100 celsius? (.049 mol) 2. What is the atmospheric pressure if the partial pressures of nitrogen, oxygen and argon are 604.5 mm Hg, 162.8 mm and .5 mm respectively? (767.8 mm Hg) 3. Describe the

Warm-Up Using f(x)= 0.008x-0.1 (as provided by the book) or simply by looking at the trendline, I can predict what y will be when x=45 and what x will be when y=.12. When x=45, y is .26. When y=.12, x is 16.25. II. Focus Questions 1.
