LSI 1.2 a. What did I learn about myself? Did anything surprise me? If yes, why? If no, why not? Give examples to support your opinion. No this did not surprise me. I think that the questions were worded horribly. The way the questions were worded would make most people answer “mostly true” for the majority of the questions. The question: I would give credit to people who their jobs well and I would establish procedures to help the department operate smoothly were not effective because the majority of people who are attending a university would answer yes. I do think that I have leadership and management qualities, so the overall result of the insight did not surprise me. b. How might the way I am, the way I behave affect me and my followers if I were in a leadership role? The way I behave not only affects myself but everyone around me. It will affect me if I want a leadership role because if you do not behave professionally than the majority of staff will not respect you. Being in a leadership role, you need to monitor how you behave. It also affects my followers and others around me. If I have behaving inappropriately as a leader, than my followers such as other staff members will think that it is acceptable and possible to it around customers. This will be a negative affect on all parties. c. What do I want to do about what I learned from this? (Is it something you want to change? Is it an obstacle to overcome to be a good leader?
