3Carley Coy Mr. Head English IV 18 September 2012 Love of a Grandmother I was very blessed in my life to have the opportunity of having such an amazing and special grandmother. I know everyone's mothers and grandmothers are amazing and wonderful to them, but mine was truly an angel sent from god. It wasn't just my family and I that loved her dearly but almost everyone she encountered always remembered her. She had that type of personality that made everyone happy because of how generous she was and the comforting, familiar aura she gave off. When I was 6 years old my father went to prison and basically left my brother, my mom, and I living alone in a big empty house. At the time my mother was going through a lot, so she decided to move in with her mother, my grandmother, until she got back on her feet. We actually ended up living there for about 5 or 6 years and I absolutely loved it. During that time my grandma did everything for us and never complained. We told her we were hungry, she made us food right away. We told her we wanted something, she would try her best to get it for us. We would tell her if anything was bothering us and she would console us till everything got better. Not saying anything bad about my mom because she is just as great, but my grandma was basically my mom. No words can describe how much she meant to me.
