Living a Limited Lifestyle To be free ultimately requires no limitations. One can simply hop into his/her car, jump on the freeway, and drive as fast as their heart desires. The rush of reaching speeds as much as 100 plus miles per hour is a feeling that is almost indescribable. The wind in your hair, both hands clenching the steering wheel, the fact that at any moment the car could spin out of control with the slightest over correction. Exhilaration such as this is what drives mankind to hold tight to his precious freedoms. Although there are laws that prohibit such things as excessive speeding, man has the ability to break those laws and make decisions based on his own free will. Man is able to choose, white or wheat, ranch or vinaigrette, blonde or brunette. Those who wish to may live a life of crime wreaking havoc whenever they please. One could kill at random. On the opposite end of that spectrum one could be an advocate of peace, trying to rid the world of hate and self destruction. The second definition result from Dictionary.com states freedom as, “exemption from external control, interference, or regulation.” Whether one decides to utilize freedom to live a life of, “good” or “evil” varies from person to person. In the end, persuasion only goes so far and man’s ability to choose can overpower any means of it. Take a man and his dog for example. A trip to the puppy store can have multiple outcomes. There are big dogs and little dogs, in all different shapes, and all different breeds to choose from. Whatever puppy is brought home is of course another example of free choice but not the point at hand. A dog does not choose when to eat. A dog does not choose when it may come in the house. A dog cannot even choose to stay with its birth mother if it wished, or was even able to wish. Granted neither can a human baby, but taking puppies
