What competitive advantage do you think Live Nation has? ANWSER: It emerges as Live Nation may be using two different types of Growth strategies, Concentration is the first growth strategy used by Live Nation, which concentrate on its primary line of business, which is the music industry. Concentration strategies are one in which we focus on increasing number of products and services offered or market served. Through concentration strategy, Live Nation is able to offer many products such as concert tickets, Merchandise, videos, and albums. Second growth strategy Live Nation using is Horizontal Integration (Combining with competitor in the same industry). In 2009, Live Nation announced they were merging with ticket master to “expand into a complimentary business. Using this strategy, Live Nation is able to eliminate competition and keep profit within the company. In some opinions they are using forward vertical integration by expanding its concert platform into ticketing and constructing the industry first artist to fan vertically integrated concert platform. Live Nation has many competitive advantages in the market. Some are as follows • Live Nation maintaining database that contain contact information of every fan, which enables them to connect fans to their artists.
