There are certain ways in which a person must conduct oneself to be deemed socially acceptable. And there are many things that a single person will put up with to gain acceptance because of fear of rejection. This behavior has been evident since the existence of the human race, and it was also evident in Alice Walker’s novel The Color Purple. Celie, the main character of the novel is no exception. Celie is forced to cope with the burden of external conformity while simultaneously dealing with internal questioning.

The statement is very true, every day, most couples encounter conflicts within their relationship. Most of these couples have certain ways of settling their disputes and disagreements, which many include compromise. These conflicts may consist of some type of jealousy, time management, commitment, and lifestyles issues. Abstract This paper explores different types of anxiety disorders, specifically generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. The paper discusses the information that was already known and the source of that knowledge. The paper also identifies information that has been gained through reading chapter five and the reasons it was found to be relevant. I selected the chapter on anxiety disorders, because out of all the chapters thus far, I have found this one to be most interesting. I have always been intrigued by anxiety disorders and the onset of them throughout a person’s life span.

From personal experience, as well as evaluating my participant’s life and her involvement, I noted that it is very important to have a strong support system surrounding one with PTSD.
