McKenzie Langford 26 November 2012 Pd. 3- McCauley Comparing and Contrasting the Byzantine Empire and the Dar Al-Islam The Byzantine Empire and the Muslim World were both significant to Afroeurasia during the middle ages. Each had major effects on the surrounding areas, and continued to influence cultures around the world in the following years. The Byzantine Empire and the Muslim world shared similarities in their economics and cultural achievements; however, their religious views were both similar and different at the same time. In the Byzantine Empire, trade played a very important role in their economic system.
Document 4 shows how Northern and Central Africa were connected, with part of the connection stemming from the Middle East, a prominent area of Muslims. Document 7 shows the extensive spread of the Mongol Empire, with the outer edges stretching into central Europe. With the Mongols came Islam as well, so the expansion of the empire certainly helped bring the religion and its traders into Europe. Although it takes more time and invariably more money to pass these amendments, change can still take place proving the rights explained in the constitution of Ohio and the U.S. are still very valuable to their respective

Further, there are a specific times and reasons for the need to translate websites using professional translators for audiences in other countries. One issue with Google Translate and others is that they can’t be trusted to be entirely accurate. Google Translate can also sometimes have issues with such things as place names, language names and other national signifiers. There’s a lot of nuance in language that are simply hard for machines to catch., translators have problems with metaphors, and there are things like slang and different dialects that even a native speaker might have a hard time with.
As J.M. Roberts stated, “In so great an empire, communications were the key to power” (p. 85). The Silk Road allowed merchants of different cultures to make overland trades, from China to the west, and resulting in the first step of globalization. In addition, the Mongols also introduced a writing system to the region and spread the use of paper money. J.M.
1. Upon reading the Constitution I kept finding myself having to re-read words and sections. The language used within it can be very confusing.
