Bound to Lose Taking a walk through musical history, I hope to convey the areas and many levels of influence Chuck Berry, born Charles Edward Anderson Berry, works have on modern day society and music. This journey will look at race relations in the 50’s and 60’s, sexual presentation on stage, rebellious entertainers and the musical family tree of Berry, which connects artists of multiple generations. Born in St. Louis in 1926, Chuck had a middle class upbringing allowing him to dive into his musical interests, his father a preacher and contractor and his mom a public school principle. Growing up in the church halls gave Berry his vocal range. Berry often imitated Nat king Cole’s crisp vocal lines.
Billie hated his stepfather and dedicated a song to him called "Why do you want him?". It was his first song, he wrote it his self, when he was 14 years old I think, that it is a amazing fact, because not every 14 year old can write good music. Billie Joe Armstrong`s love for music started at a young age. When he was five, he visited hospitals and sung for the patients. It was really awesome!
Boyzone singer Stephen Gately, who has died suddenly aged 33, had successfully made the transition from teenage pop idol to mainstream show business performer. He had been the first member of Boyzone to bring out a solo single, New Beginning, and his subsequent roles in West End musicals brought him to a new and broader audience. Several successful television appearances, including ice-skating and interviewing film stars, suggested that he would have had a bright future in broadcasting. Gately was born in the working-class Sheriff Street area of Dublin, the fourth of five children (four sons and a daughter) to painter and decorator Martin Gately and his wife Margaret. He was 17 when he joined Boyzone, having answered an advertisement placed by local entrepreneur Louis Walsh.

Then, at age 16, he met Jeff Townes (DJ Jazzy Jeff). The pair became friends and began to collaborate, Jeff as DJ, Will as rapper (having expanded his nickname to Fresh Prince). Despite his parents' wishes, he didn't want to go to college anyway – he now dedicated himself to music. Will Smith’s music was rapidly becoming very popular But by this time Will was already at the top of another profession, as he was casted to be in the new series of ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’.
Bob Marley: Reggae Legend Although Bob Marley didn’t have a formal education, he educated Americans with his music. He constructed wonderful Baroque works with his superb musical skills that he had obtained since childhood. Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany on March 31, 1685, to a family that was well established in music. It is believed that Bach’s first musical lessons came from his father in their hometown. At the young age of 9 both of Bach’s parents passed away and he went to live with his older brother, who was an organist. It was with his brother that he was formally introduced to a keyboard, although it is believed that he already had a versatile knowledge of music at that point.
Mozart’s father, “a violinist at the court of the prince of Salzburg,” taught him how to play the clavier and encouraged him in his art (“Wolfgang” World History). His parents had seven children, although only two of them, Mozart and his sister Maria Anna Mozart, survived to adulthood. Mozart first showed off his innate abilities in music at age four, when “he began playing his pieces from his elder sister’s clavier lessons” and astonished his entire family (“Wolfgang” World History). After his father heard him play such arduous pieces, he started giving him lessons. Mozart’s sister was also a talented musician.
KISS Induction Speech Finally after thirty-eight years of waiting, the hottest band in the world is being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Being on of America’s top gold record champs, KISS continues to hold an unbreakable bond with its fans. Having a rocky start involving another band, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley left their old band and stumbled upon an Ad in Rolling Stones magazine, written by a drummer, Peter Criss. After holding auditions the three became one and began practicing as a trio. Another, Ace Frehley was then auditioned as the lead singer and the four officially became known as the band KISS in January of 1973.
