To surprise Elizabeth Luke hired a chief for her and his anniversary; he was supposed to be the best in town! A couple weeks later they went on a trip to the mountains and found tons of items for their home and what do you know the same chief that cooked for them for their anniversary had a restaurant in the mountains, so they ate at his restaurant and it tasted just as good as the first time they had it! 8 years later Luke had to get major surgery on his back because he had been having back problems for years, he was terrified he had never had surgery in his life. Couple days later, the doctor had to check on him to make sure everything was going well, and thankfully everything went well in surgery and he was fine. The day after he had found out that his father
at Willis Knight Medical Center in Shreveport, La a beautiful life came to an end. Bro.”Sonny Boy” was liked by all and always had a smile and a kind word to say for everyone. My granny started feeling lost so my dad had moved her away from the small town Benson,La into another small town called Mansfield,LA were my dad and mother lived. This town was a little bigger than were my grandparents lived the population for this town was at least 2500 people compared to Benson were it only had an estimated of 100 people with only one corner store. Mansfield has a hospital called Desoto Regional has been there since the early 1960s so my parents felt the town was a little secure for my granny just in case she gets sick.

The land used to belong to local Native American Mohegan Tribe. Based on the introduction from the Norwich official website, the most public landing built at the head of the Thames River has provided an important harbor since the 17th century and it was initially an agricultural community. Historically, the area supported farms and businesses, residents also built a public landing for easier trade at the head of the Thames River. In the last ten years, the population has been changed significantly. Lots of people move to the town from urban areas or cities.
We all eventually found each other at the finish line and regrouped so we could take a bus back to our hotel. After we recovered the best we could, we went to Sticky Fingers to relax and eat as much as we were willing to spend. The hardest part of the weekend was over and we had survived. The rest of the day was spent in the hotel pool, talking about how great the weekend was and who would be returning next year. I remember thinking to myself how amazing it was to have only spent two and a half days with this group of people and feeling like I had known them my entire life.
My choices in life have not always been easy. Graduating in 2002 with barely the schools requirements, I always considered myself an average student that always ended up putting school activities and functions before my classes. Coming close to graduation and the option of going into a nursing program at a local community college I set my life into a different direction and signed up 3 years of my life with Uncle Sam with the United States Army. Having my military career abruptly end after the second year I found myself more in hospitals rather than being able to train with my company. In the hospitals that I was serviced at, I was amazed on the professionalism that the medical staff gave its patients.
He was thrilled and quickly made it happen. Since my mother and father were both only child and were raised by their grandparents, they didn’t have much support nor did they leave much behind. As they were in Mexico my little sister caused some difficulties. For instance, on the bus ride to Tijuana she would start singing the Peruvian nation anthem. However, since she was just a little girl they didn’t care as long as you paid the right amount and as soon as they knew it the Guevara family touched American soil.
So when I got married I moved to South Ozone Park N.Y. which is in Queens. In South Ozone Park there are a lot of different races here from Guyanese, Indian, Trinidadian, African American, Ecuadorian, etc. Here in this community there are so many people that do look alike and they all get along. The leaders here in my new community of 10 years do a lot for us from making sure that we are safe from bad criminals. We have come a long way from what my in laws told me.
