I have become more studious and have placed a larger importance on my grades and how they impact my future. With the help from my guidance counselor thru the extra time my teachers take to help me when I’m struggling. I have realized my education is everything, being able to know things, will open my future. Bishop Noll is preparing me for college, to have a better future, and have a great career, to survive with using the knowledge obtained and the faith to carry on during the struggles in life. Graduating from Bishop Noll in 2017 is a goal I have to work for.
I am a natural leader of people. When in doubt, I will not hesitate to get advice because failure is not an option to me. Some of the challenges that I will be faced with will be how to juggle a full time job, family and schooling. The reason for going back to school is not only to further my education for future work but also to be more proficient in assisting my children with their schoolwork. Technology has progressed to a point where I feel that I need do something to help me keep pace with the changing world.
Throughout this research I realized that character wise I am like Douglas I love taking risks, winning, and making a difference in the world, but for the feminine part and career speaking Clara Barton being my mother would have inspired me even more to further my education in becoming an Army nurse. Even though these historical figures are amazing people and they made great big changes I would trade my parents for anyone in the world I love them to death and I hope I will be a parent just like
As time went on I realized that I needed so much more. I know now that teachers are here to teach us and what we learn is valuable throughout life. My GPA is important to my future and so is my ACT’s. With this said, I hope that I end up in a great college and a great
Now that’s growing up without a childhood. Jane Smiley seems like a great parent who cares about her children but to allow her daughters to put on makeup even entering their teenage years just isn’t right. Her girls where prematurely growing up, where behaving beyond their age, and with their only priority being beautiful at all times it seem to help them in the long run. As they burned off the “Barbie stage” and grew into more important things down their lives. Like for example Smiley talks about her older daughter, “Now she is planning to graduate school and law school and become an expert on woman’s health issues, perhaps adolescent health issues like anorexia and bulimia” (377).
I would help the child to see that just because their parents and grandparents are education to a certain extent, doesn’t mean that’s how it has to be for them. I would encourage them to set their own goals and to work toward creating their own identity. Another way that I would help these students overcome generational poverty is to help them set goals, both short term, and long term. I would help them set some serious goals for their life and for their education in hopes that those goals will stay in their mind and push them to work as hard as they can to be successful and overcome the life that generations before them have laid out for
1. Following high school, I desire to pursue a college path to become a neonatal nurse. Helping with sick and premature babies, I would help with the beginning stages of life and contribute to a strong start to a family. I like change and with no two days the same it would never get boring. I do well in an unpredictable environment where I am able to stay busy, manage my time, and prioritize tasks, and the field for neonatal nursing would be a strong fit for me.
Without the goal of going to college I would not be here today. Also, I would not be teaching my children not to give up on their dreams. By believing that the long-term results and the value of completing my degree in higher education to be that if it is a dream or a goal of yours that you are never too old to achieve them. Also, if you are returning to school later in life you are setting an example for your children so they can see that you never give up on your goals and dreams. My personal plan for my academic future is to push myself to do better in school and achieve the goal that I set for myself of a 4.0 GPA.

Her jokingly saying that motivated me to stay focus in school so that I can earn accolades and scholarships with the intention that I wouldn’t be a burden financially. God has blessed me to have a full ride to this school, but knowing that it can be taken away, I will do exceedingly what is expected of me to keep it. Ever since my first patients, it has been a natural instinct to care for people who are sick. My family has a long line of women who were nurses, including my mother, grandmothers, and great grandmother who attended Ole Miss and UMMC.
