The Life of a Diplomat: Inside a Embassy

I. Introduction Since I was in the primary school I wanted to be a diplomat. I searched a lot of sources, only to find information about that job, to take the first views on that topic. To be interested in that job helped me the movie Thirteen Day’s, which gave me some views on diplomacy, like how to negotiate and resolve problems with your oposer who can ve also your enemy. I know that the job of a diplomat is not an easy job, because that job faces you with a lot of challenges, like living in countries where a conflict, like Iraq, Serbia etc. That job makes you to change your place of living. It makes you to live sometimes without your family. But I know that being a diplomat it’s a great chance, because you will go in different countries and met there different people from different cultures and traditions, and so you will have the opportunity to learn languages and make friends. I have done that I-search to learn details about the life of a diplomat, and so to make positive and negative view on that job, to make clear my career, if I will definitely be a diplomat or not. But also I want to inform my friends in the class about that job, and maybe this I-search will help them if they decide to be diplomats. II. What I Want to Find Out During my I-search I wanted to know how the life of a diplomat is. When I want to know that, I don’t want to know only the challenges of the life, like living far from family and friends, but also personal feelings and thoughts about that job, and so to make positive and negative view on that job, to make clear my career, if I will definitely be a diplomat or not. III. My Search I have made an interview during my I-search with the EU diplomat here in Prishtina, Mr. Jonas Jonsson. But I have also searched some books (see bibliography), that are part of my I-search. From the internet I have used only ediplomat.com, some views
