1.It is said that too much leisure is a dangerous thing for most people. Do you agree? I hope succeeding generations will be able to be idle. I hope that nine-tenths of their time will be leisure time; that they may enjoy their days, and the earth, and the beauty of this beautiful world; that they may rest by the sea and dream; that they may dance and sing, eat and drink. —Novelist Richard Jefferies Modern life is a busy life. The pace of life gets faster and faster every day and a man must hurry and utilize every moment of his life, otherwise he would be left behind in the race of life. Even so, some leisure is necessary for the happiness of life. If a life lacks these elements, it would be dull, dry and unhealthy. But merely to have leisure is not enough. It is also essential that it should be rightly used. However most of the people misuse their leisure time. For example, they would either pass their leisure time in sleeping, playing cards, idle gossip or at the most in watching movies. Therefore leisure time will become dangerous and harmful for people if it is not utilized properly. 1.If a man remains unoccupied then he begins to indulge in undesirable activities. - he may keep day dreaming -leads to dullness and a lack of alertness in a person. -“an idle mind is a devil’s workshop.” This is often said about those who have too much leisure time on hand. 2.Gossip is one of the most harmful effects of the misuse of leisure time. -rumour mongers use this time to cook up new stories about people -especially for those that they dislike or jealous 3.Indulge in unhealthy or illegal activities. - get addicted to alcohol or smoking. - take drugs - gambling and indulge in others evil designs 4. Sedentary activities -addicted to computer games -watching television program for the whole day -these sedentary activities are unhealthy -cause
